Bump for Ski Cross starting tomorrow - well, in fact, we have already had qualifiers - with Day One of a double header at Val Thorens. -
On a quick glance, the major change I am seeing is canoeing sprint, with the others more or less the same or with slight differences from 2024. Also it appears continental quotas in team events in track cycling are also gone. -

They don't all need to do, but those that for historic reasons are stuck with French abbreviations - backwards, from the English POV - and French names of sports that are different from the normal English ones probably see the necessity. -

& also have severe "Worlds' Top xxx" criteria. Have seen cyclists crying because they did not make the grade in a World Championship Keirin B race. -

Saw that one. Would love for them to get Skubal, but I'm worried that his situation with the Tigers where they might trade him (but probably not) would prevent that from happening. -

Organizations that have loftier purposes than the Olympics probably won't follow suit. Seems like it's probably more likely to be more individual sports (like athletics or swimming or gymnastics) and less about the team sports. FIFA, FIBA, IIHF, etc. I doubt they're going to make any changes.
