you are correct in general but not in this case. his given name is simply Mohammad, just that. that's what he is called by friends, family etc. Seyed is just a title. (everybody else in his family has that too) he just wanted to be cute by writing that on back of his shirt.

 

unfortunately this is a new trend in most of Iran national teams in different sports, players just write whatever they want on back of their shirt, you can find everything in just one team. surname, given name, sometimes just a funny nickname to look cute

Starting line-up would be Seganov - Skrimov - Nikolov - Sokolov - Grozdanov - Gotsev, if everyone is healthy, which for Bulgaria always is a Herculean ask. 

 

Case in point -> Skrimov is going in injured and will miss the opening game with Poland with good faith to be ready for the USA match...

First game looks like it was a close one.  reverse sweep  to win the tie 3-2 in the end.

Amazing atmosphere in Katowice as always. Let's hope we put a semi-decent performance and Poland don't bash us too much.

Meanwhile in Ljubljana during Cuba-Brazil match apparently was just about 350 people on the seats. It's effect when match starts at 11:00 in working day...

Fun Fact - There have been 20 World Championships in men's volleyball. It will be the first one without Russia, which means, that Bulgaria now ties them with 19 appearances, as the only 2 teams, which have missed only one. Our only absence was in the 1960 one, which was hosted by Brazil.
