When even the skier who gets awarded the medal strongly disagrees with the decision, you might want to check your judging....

 

This is sad for everyone. For Smith in the first place, but also for Maier, you can see from her face she is not enjoying this at all and is just feeling bad. Everybody loses here... (except for Näslund obviously, no doubt about her )

It kinda kills her happiness on the moment. Bottom line, the world of sport should start considering the athletes less badly...

Interesting that the video controller is from Germany. Not sure if he had anything to do with the decision though. I guess it was time we started fixing competitions as well after what Slovenia did in ski jumping ...

Well maybe Näslund lost anyway cause Smith deserved the dsq more in the final in 2018 against Sandra than this time

NBC keeps trying to make the Gu - Sildaru Olympic rivalry happen, and like gold - gold - silver vs. did not qualify - 4th - bronze just doesn't make it look like much of a contest.
