That's very interesting information. So the 6 countries not making the cut would be China (~52), Denmark (~80), Argentina (~80), Brazil (~90), Austria (~125) and Switzerland (~165)

It's a high chance for China. Hurkacz could be out of OG.

And it's weird because Japan should have at least >70 of combined ranking and China should be within top 16.

Maybe my calculation is not updated.

I am pretty certain :GBR would choose Watson to partner Skupski or Salisbury if they get the Mixed Doubles slot. She has been specialising more in the doubles of late.  Does the ranking/point count change is you choose someone else or do you have to select the people getting you the quota?

As far as I know, the mixed double pairings, one per NOC, must be submitted by 24 July and then that day ITF confirms who gets to play.

But i think we won't reject that quota but will wait to either try to exchange him or try to play mixed doubles after withdrawing with few balls played in singles. Sure, we stil don't know what happened but i assume good news would be already published. For now, pure speculations.

I fell in love with sports.....since i first seen it

How is Elena vesnina on the women’s doubles entry list without the IOC giving her permission to compete ?

ITF approved Vesnina and russians want the IOC to allow her compete. But the IOC did not mention this allocation at all

I think the points have to change - it's the rank of the pair, not some notional rank of the country. FWIW I think the doubles ranking of Watson (47)will be sufficent to get a mixed doubles spot with Salisbury (6) - total 53, there will undoubtedly be a withdrawal or two, or a tired singles player who can't/won't do all 3 (like boulter, for example!)

i think Dart/Lumsden might currently be first or second reserve in women's doubles...
