Could you send me the link of this ranking?

But, yeah, some of these sports like Tennis, Golf and Road Cycling, we have this problem. But, if I am not mistaken, eventually, both rankings will be the same at the end of qualification, right?

Anyway, we have decidec from the beginning to use the official rankings, because.... they are official haha. But, I can see if we may change it a little bit

so diaz acosta is making the most of home tournaments, but still has work to do. Even though he has moved into the top four amongst Argentina, he is not there yet just considering points counting toward Olympics.

very good work but I don't understand two things; Why Riera instead of Carle from the Pan Am qualifiers, and why Raducanu for the Legacy quota (should be Osaka or even Andreescu before her).

Thanks for your observation.

About Riera instead of Carle, It is because the tennis players need to be in top 400, otherwise they can't use the quota earned at Panamerican Games.

As for Raducanu instead of Osaka... you are right, my bad. In the last updates Osaka didn't appear on Top 400 (at least if I remember well :d) then I completely forgot her.

I will fix it, thanks

@Laraja Shouldn’t :DEN Wozniacki be highlighted as a grand slam quota rather than :JPN Osaka? Wozniacki has more points.

First criteria is most Olympic and grand slam titles, then most points.

Wozniacki has only played Billie Jean King Cup once since 2011, but I'm sure they'll bend the rules for her and use her retirement/pregnancy as an excuse for not playing during this Olympic period (unless she ends up playing in April).

Not that she has a chance of doing anything, especially on clay courts, and I don't know if she'll be able to qualify in mixed doubles with Rune (which she said was one of the reasons why she came back) considering how low her ranking is and time is really running out for her to move up. She'll probably have to be top 30 or so in the next few months and she's currently nowhere near there and hasn't been taking the tour schedule seriously enough in my opinion.

    • Also it being illegal in France means the IOC will have to test everyone pre arriving at 2030 and can’t wait till they arrive at the Games to do so. I’m sure at 2028 for some sports testing will happen on site if it’s not a rule of its governing body for non Olympic events. So far only a few sports like Athletics and Boxing have that rule - I suspect others will adopt it but others might take time.
    • https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/articles/cpwj78lxypro ‘In France - one of a number of countries where genetic testing is illegal without a medical prescription due to privacy laws - the government has condemned the decision as "a step backwards". "It defines the female sex without taking into account the biological specificities of intersex individuals, whose sexual characteristics present natural variations, leading to a reductive and potentially stigmatising approach," claimed French Sports Minister Marina Ferrari.”   ‘A group of legal experts in human rights and sports have since expressed, external"urgent concern" about what they called "the regressive move toward genetic testing as a precondition of participation in women's sport" which they say "violate domestic and international laws that protect human rights and regulate the use of genetic testing and genetic information".  The group has called on athletes "to challenge the national or regional implementation of mandatory genetic sex testing, demanded by the IOC or international federations, before domestic courts, by invoking national or regional laws protecting human rights, prohibiting anti-discrimination, and regulating the use of genetic testing and genetic data".’   Domestic laws are more challenging for the IOC to deal with than CAS. Things could get complicated for a bit.
    • Except NOC’s and governing bodies have to still follow local laws. Particularly for Under 18’s there could certainly be domestic legal issues regarding associations paying for travel to other counties to circumvent a domestic ban. Child protection services don’t always act reasonable to attempts to break a domestic law.
