Ankita qualifies in 5000m women . She was the 6th alternate. So as expected many athletes withdrew from 5000m to concentrate on other events.

I don't understand how it is that the RFEA prefers athletes from other countries to go to the Olympic Games instead of Spanish athletes

Phil Norman has started a petition to hopefully get the UKA to change their mind before the BOA deadline tomorrow. He's also urged people to send complaints to the UKA to further influence them to change their decision.

It's too late now. The spots have been reallocated and the other NOCs have accepted them.

 Panagiota Dosi got a women's high jump quota, she was originally 1 out. Unfortunately, no other Greeks got in after withdrawals.

 

I will actually be on holiday on Dosi's island during the high jump final, but she probably won't qualify, otherwise it would've been cool if there was some sort of viewing party in the town square or something.
