Andreas Bernard ffs !!! Legend ! this guy is a god ! 62 saves today !!!

and this one MUST WATCH !

What a shame this guy is almost unknown in his own country, he should be a real national sports hero, He is just above level for so many years and brought so much to Italy and Italian Hockey. maybe our Italian friends can start to share infos about him to make him more famous and popular because he deserves it. @phelps @Gianlu33 @Dunadan @SteveParker @Pablita @Henry_Leon @Sindo

naaaa...trying to talk about hockey here in Italy would lead you directly to the mental care pavillion of the nearest hospital...:yikes::cry::facepalm::wall:

better not take that risk...:finger:

jokes aside, today he's been fantastic, but once again the rest of team did show that this is not our level of hockey...we're just not good enough under every single aspect of the game: skating speed, skating skills, individual technical skills, attitude, physical conditioning and strenght...this time, we don't even have a decent tactical plan (basically the only thing we have always had in the past)...

it's just 5 guys at a time skating around in a total mess without having any idea of what they should do as a group...

it's so depressing and frustrating...as an Italian hockey fan, it's almost impossible to me to describe with words how I feel when I watch our Blue Team in the most recent years (and this year in particular, of course)...

I watched the game and Italy continue to play a bad hockey :( Bernal was just amazing, but he can't win alone...

Sure, you guys are really struggling with the offensive play. 0 goals in 3 matches is definitely very bad. but I wouldn´t give up and throw the towell prematurely at all. With such goalie I can see Italy grab points and maybe even wins (why not) in the main matches against Austria and Norway.

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)

    • I read the Olympic qualification documents for weightlifting. A country can have the opportunity to send a maximum of 4 athletes in one gender, but the conditions are very strict.
    • world champion Jessica Schilder opened her season up with 19.78 in France.
    • wait! what???   so, there won't be specialized double sculls, but those boats would have to feature 2 single specialists if a Nation wants to enter 2 proper singles M+W??? tell me I misread the expalaination...
    • Yeah, they do get broadcast pretty regularly.  I remember even back in Bode Miller's day they would show the training.
