Summer Olympic Games 2020 Arrivals & Athletes' Village

I see that most of the buildings are by geographical relativity, well or someone Fucked up or that we are added to another building with other countries so I still wonder which building has my country ?

Edit: I remember that in Rio they said that Israel and Lebanon needs to share the Bus , something that caused a huge problem when the Lebanon delegation said that they will not go with the Israeli delegation..

I saw in Ksenia Polikarpova’s IG and the team is in the same tower with Ireland and Sweden

I guess lots of us have been wondering what exactly is the view like from the other side of those Olympic rings. I was browsing through the :CUB teams social media, and I found this rare pic of newly arrived athletes waiting their turn!

I don't fully get the joke but judging by the banners this seems to be the pic of a celebration rather than a protest :p just saying in case your intention was showing the latter.

No, the idea was just to show a large queue waiting!

Here's the same other-side-of-the-rings shot viewed from a different angle.

    • Weightlifting formula is more or less similar to 2020 which was considered terrible by everybody!    this is a tough sport, you can't be in your best shape for too many events. there will be risks of serious injuries this way. with these rules you need 5 good results to qualify. if you bomb out in an event to score a zero you are out of the Olympics unless you replace it with another event. which means most of these poor guys have to participate in 7-8 events (and not just 5) to make up for possible bomb outs.    most importantly if you get injured anytime during this period (almost 2 years) you are out of the Olympics! that's how Sohrab Moradi missed the Tokyo Olympics despite breaking the WR during the qualification period. you can miss the Olympics in 2028 if you get injured late 2026 !  Karlos Nasar couldn't win the Olympic title if we had these rules in 2024   I understand 2024 qualification formula wasn't great either, it had its own flaws but this one is much worse for threatening athletes' health.
