Why is there a qualification, when there are only 49 jumpers. :d Another training jump?

no nothing in the mens category. actually we have any ski jumper even in the juniors category.

There apparently just 3 girls trying this sport, one of them competed at EYOF last week, finishing last but at least it´s something...assuming the conditions for this sport here it´s already a miracle that someone is doing this sport at all...nordic skiing is dead here, totally and without any way out, one day our cross country skiers will finish their careers and the circle will be over

Oh yes, I was thinking about those girls :d Well, just look for Poland, where are our athletes in skiing sports not counting ski jumping? We almost doesn't exists in cc skiing, only Maciej Staręga somehow keep us alive in this sport, but only in sprints, I don't believe that Justyna will won an medal in upcoming WC also it will be difficult during OG, after which she will retire and we will dissapear from this sport for unknown time, as we don't have juniors, or are totally weak. In nordic combined we barely competing, in alpine skiing is huge success if someone will finish the race..., freestyle skiing and snowboarding? Better not talking about this. Our skiing federation care only about ski jumping and don't give moneys for athletes from other disciplines, believe or not, but our alpine skiers was in St.Moritz only thanks their own moneys... By this many youth and junior athletes already retired because don't see sense to compete as no one not support them... It's such shame for our country. So, not only Slovakia have problems with this, at least you have good alpine skiers.

    • Canoe Sprint There is a now a cap of 5 athletes per gender in the kayak events (down from 6 in 2024). The World Championships has been replaced by the Olympic Qualification Rankings.   K2 lost 2 boat quotas while K4 has gained 1 boat quota. Quota distribution is quite complicated as it usually is for canoe sprint. They also force nations to compete in a minimum number of events based on the number of athletes qualified; 2 and 3 athletes per boat class must compete in 2 events, 4 must compete in all 3 events and 5 must compete in all 3 events and have two entries in the K1 event.
    • Wrestling will have a completely new format, I do not like the changes. ranking isn't really a good idea in this sport, this will force wrestlers to compete in so many events to collect points. which is not good for their health. specially with the current UWW ranking points distribution system which is plain stupid   they are also gifting 18 quotas to very weak countries by that last qualification event. but I understand their point of view. can't wait to see lots of Russian wrestlers compete for weak countries for that 1 available quota.
    • Canoe Slalom Quotas from men's/women's K1 have been moved to men's/women's KX1. K1 will now have 14 quotas while KX1 will have 10 quotas. C1 remains at 17 quotas. Athletes may participate in other events up to a maximum of 2 athletes per NOC.   The World Championship qualifier has been dropped in favour of the Olympic Qualification Rankings (7 K1, 10 C1, 3 KX1), afterwards you have the Continental Qualifiers (1 per boat) and then a new Global Qualifier (2 per boat).   There were a few changes regarding ways to ensure an athlete can only obtain 1 quota. The biggest being at each stage the boat priority is K1 > KX1 > C1 for the rankings and KX1 > K1 > C1 for the continental/global qualifiers. This basically means if the same athlete qualifiers in multiple boats then the quota will be given to the kayak over canoe.
    • I'll post significant changes periodically. I'll start with the recently added/updated documents.   Archery The addition of mixed compound (12M & 12W) forced a reduction on the recurve side. The mixed compound quotas are distributed as follows   Host - 1 World Championships - 3 Continental Games - 5 World Ranking List - 2 Final Qualifier - 1   To compensate the team events will now only have 8 nations. 2 quotas were removed from the World Ranking List and 2 were removed from the Final Qualifier.   Individual recurve and mixed recurve distribution is the same
    • In Rome, it would be useful to roof the swimming pool complex at Foro Italico, possibly with the option of retracting the roof and covering the tennis court complex. Overall, there's a lot to do, for example, compared to Budapest, but unfortunately, this is Italy How many years has Roma been building their new stadium, and they keep pushing back the completion date- now I read it's 2030? and it should be ready. The same goes for Milan- there should be a modern complex of indoor swimming pools with 50 meters pools, etc., but there's a problem with one stupid football stadium, which will only be built after an ultimatum from UEFA
