  1. He's not the brightest athlete?
  2. It's a national qualification event for Germany, maybe for other countries as well? If Germany qualifies as a Team, the best german female and male competitor in Tokyo will be nominated for the Olympics, if they finish in the top 12.
  3. Do you know how Marvin Dogue is ranking? He's our best runner. Sadly, UIPM doesn't have the recent results.
  4. Triple Jumper Max Heß is injured and won't compete at the Team Championships or anymore this season.
  5. How many races are there?
  6. The best not yet qualified athlete qualifies for the Olympics, correct? Or does only the winner qualify, and in case he already is, the quota place gets reallocated at the World Cup?
  7. All in all the best possible Outcome from Germany's point of view, except Turkey losing to China, but a Turkey win was unlikely anyway. Will nonetheless be very hard to qualify. Congrats Serbia and probably Italy.
  8. I think that with maybe the exception of Steven Müller, they all have a good chance. Especially Fuchs: She's still a junior, and barring injuries, I don't see a reason why she shouldn't get even better. And there's still the World Ranking, where many of them have collected valuable points. Dutkiewicz is in some trouble here, though, because of her injury. She might very well need the standard next year, because she'll miss the chance for many ranking points. Roleder was very happy after her run and said, that because of the late World Championships, she planned her season differently and is on the right track towards Doha. If this is true and not just some words, she should get the Standard.
  9. Men's Javelin Julian Weber 86,60 metres at the National Championships
  10. Women's 5000 metres Konstanze Klosterhalfen 14:26,76 Min (NR) at the National Championships in Berlin.
  11. One has to be athletics 4x400 mixed relay, because there hasn't been a world Championships in this discipline so far.
  12. German Team: https://www.leichtathletik.de/news/news/detail/dlv-schickt-starke-mannschaft-zur-team-em/ Without our best Javelin Throwers and female Sprinters. Also without Klosterhalfen.
  13. If this really happened, the door would be wide open for cheaters who claim that they consider themselves women just to get some easy Olympic Gold medals. It would be the death of women's sports. In no way should this happen. All those female athletes who aren't XY have their Rights as well. The transgender athletes with high Testosteron can start at the men's competition. Nobody forbids them to do this.
  14. Semenya has an xy-chromosome. This alone already makes it debatable, if she is biologically a female. And in Sports, this does matter, because biologically male athletes have a major physical advantage compared to the females. If the female athletes have to compete against someone who has that much of a physical advantage, you simply can cancel women's sports for good. I feel sorry for Semenya, because nothing of this is her fault and yet the poor woman got almost notorious because of this. But I also feel sorry for the xx-women, who have to compete against her.
  15. No men's relay bronze medallist from Rio is currently 22. But if we include women there are also Mie Nielsen and Kennedy Goss.
  16. Yeah, they also predict a Gold medal for Kristina Vogel in Track Cycling. And one for Jason Osbourne in Men's Singles Rowing, even though he is a lightweight Rower and therefore competes in pairs lightweight. But I'd definitely take the German sweep in men's Javelin throw, though. Not sure, if Magnus Kirt would agree, however.
  17. Seems to me a normal day at the Summer Olympics. Otherwise, they would be crossing with the Swimming heats.
  18. I think 38 medals for Germany would be a slightly disappointing but not unrealistic result. Though I can't say more without knowing their medal prediction in detail.
  19. No Problem. Also in Leverkusen: Pole Vault: Torben Blech and Sondre Guttormsen at least 5,80 metres. Two more athletes still have the Chance. Live results: https://laportal.net/Competitions/CurrentList/145144/2190
  20. This one is correct, though: Asafa Powell 10,02 at 100 metres:https://laportal.net/Competitions/CurrentList/145150/2190
  21. 110m Hurdles David King 13,04 seconds in Leverkusen! https://laportal.net/Competitions/CurrentList/145142/2190 Edit: Nope, they corrected the results to 13,94. Quite a difference.
