  1. who ? I never heard about a single one during the whole my life
  2. Team Slovakia Mens Freestyle -74 kg - Tajmuraz Salkazanov -86 kg - Boris Makoev Greco-Roman -67 kg - Leoš Drmola -77 kg - Denis Horváth Womens Freestyle -68 kg - Zsuzsanna Molnár
  3. Team Slovakia Mens C1 Alexander Slafkovský Matej Beňuš Michal Martikán *Quota Secured. All 3 fighting for Tokyo (The better placed athlete will earn the Golden ticket, Slafkovský in best position, basically a top 5 for him will be enough pending any of his opponents will not win Gold) K1 Jakub Grigar Martin Halčin Adam Gonšenica *Quota Secured. Also the Athlete is known. Jakub Grigar will compete at his 2nd Olympics after his 5th Place in Rio 2016. Womens C1 Simona Glejteková Zuzana Paňková Monika Škáchová *No Quota yet. Last chance for our girls, Basically a "All-in" situation for them here, first they have to qualify the country to the games, if they succeed, the girl who will manage to earn the quota for slovakia will also take it and go to Tokyo. K1 Eliška Mintálová Jana Dukátová Michaela Haššová *Quota Secured. Only Mintálová and Dukátová are fighting for Tokyo ( Mintálová is in better position, basically, not losing to Dukátová by bigger margin will be enough for her to qualify)
  4. yes, sure, I was exagerating obviously, we do have a federation and do have athletes, probably some will also attend this tournament, but chance of qualifying to the games for TKD is so low that it makes no sense to deal or think about it. There a couple of Olympic sports we never participate like Modern pentathlon, Equestrian or Volleyball, but there a chance to change it in the future for sure. In the opposite TKD is one of the sports alongside with Diving, Fencing, Handball, Field Hockey or BMX we never qualified anyone and in the next century will certainly not change it as well Hell, we participate even in W Basketball, Trampoline, Sailing or freaking Track Cycling with a 6th place in Team Sprint Anyway, Actually the only sports we do not have a special federation are Surfing and Diving section of Aquatics sport... lol diving and Slovakia
  5. looks like Peter Gelle who won the K1-1000m quota will very likely miss the games, he totaly flopped at the National races this week finishing only 6th and worse... The composition of our K4 for Tokyo will be officialzed after next week Szeged race. The coaches decided to send there the 4 best of this week national races. so the crew is Samuel Baláž - Denis Myšák (Silver in Rio 2016) - Erik Vlček (39 years old legend, Silver in Rio 2016, Silver in Beijing 2008, Bronze in Athens 2004, 10 times K4 world champion may compete at his 6th Olympics which will be absolute Slovak record of all sports) - Adam Botek if they manage to achieve the desired result in Szeged next week and will repeat it at the ECH then they will go to tokyo in this composition. Otherwise depending on the results Csaba Zalka may replace one of them. Gelle however will have another chance at Szeged to defend his K1 quota. Also the K2 crew is finalized Samuel Baláž – Adam Botek The whole team for Szeged OQ, Szeged WC and Barbaul OQ is here https://www.canoe.sk/sk/hladka-voda/clanok/navrh-nominacie-na-zaciatok-sezony-2021
  6. not sure if our federation know about this event.. not sure, if we even have a federation though
  7. A french player Sara Cakarevic earned in a ITF tournament in Prague 2 EUR and 25 cts after losing in the 1st qualifying round, but for some reason they payed her only 2 EUR
  8. well, that was really fast NZ really does not have any mercy with their athletes

  10. hej, je to na meno, žiaľ. No škoda, tak snaď má pravdu a zvládne to. Ale zlomená noha, no neviem, neviem, mám trošku obavy pravdu povediac, je to dosť nepríjemne zranenie, zvlášť pre športovca a to ani nehovorím o gymnastike. Tiež som mal zlomenú nohu minulé leto, a to len palec a nejaký článok, doktori vraveli max mesiac sadra a bude to ok, a nakoniec sa z toho ukázali 3 mesiace čo som nemohol ani chodiť.
  12. Wait, what ? I thought Tereza Fišerová won the ticket to Tokyo in W C1 ? did they changed the system or ? Anyway, this is really one of the best line up in ages. 3 Big big medal potential, Especially in M K1 the Czech depth is absolutely incredible, Prskavec had to beat Hradilek and Prindiš to go for Tokyo, all realistic potential medal contenders as well
  13. nope. not at all. It is just the most successful sport of the country by miles and right ofc. but definitely not the national sport. Hockey & football are much more popular and followed (especially Hockey). But at the Olympics, yes Canoe slalom has usualy the highest viewership of the whole games. usually the television has its own studio with experts, an electronic pen and all stats, reports, telephone competitions etc.., trust me, due to the endless talking hours before and after the race, I always have to look for a stream to see also other things from the games.
  14. The host with Home water advantage then Jerguš Baďura naturalized Slovak for and keep a eye on Russia but anyway is obviously the ultra favorit for the quota, I mean what are the odds for such powerhouse of C1 to flop twice during the same qualification cycle ? almost zero.

  16. M K1 is basically the more easiest to qualify of all events, Everyone apart Poland is already qualified, Polaczyk or any other POL athlete is sure the main fav for the quota, Only competition may be , naturalized Slovak Marcel Potočný, another naturalized Slovak Samuel Stanovský (not sure if he is eligible for Olympics though), Mathieu Doby, Ren Korpes, Igor Tsviet or someone from
  17. Gonna be a serious bloodbath for some countries here, not only for the only remaining Olympic quota in each event, but many countries will nominate their representative for Tokyo here, Our internal qualifiers in M C1 and W K1 came to the point that the better of Slafkovský/Beňuš or Martikán here will go to Tokyo, Mintálová in W K1 has everything in her hands, Dukátová will need more a miracle to overtake her in that internal spot.. Only in M K1 everything is already solved, with Jakub Grigar going to his 2nd Olympics. and what about W C1, we do not have even quota in this event..so embarassing
  18. well, it is now or never, I guess for that dreamed and so greatly coveted quota in a combat sport. It has been 8 years from that Milan Randl single Judo match in London 2012, 12 years from last wrestling bout of Slovak represetative on the Olympic mat. Tajmuraz our hopes are with you dude ! but, yeah, no pressure
