Slovakia at the World Games 2022 0 - 0 - 2 3rd Slovak medal of the games secured, After Alexandra Filipová won her late night semifinal against top favorite Dajenka Meijer of 2-1 and advanced to the Final of the -70kg W Kickboxing competition --------------------------------------------------------------------- Team Day 6 Results Wednesday 13th KICKBOXING: -52kg W Quarterfinals Monika Chochlíková 4 - 5 Klára Strnádová Eliminated in Quarterfinals The day started with an Enormous shock and incredible disappointment. Our biggest star of the whole World Games team lost already in the quarterfinal to stop in the least convenient moment the like of million matches undefeated streak... Huge disappointment.. Chochlíková lost to the Czech Strnádová after the decision of the judges, the game ended 4-4 after one of the judges assigned the win to Monika and the other one to the Czech girl, the third judge had the result tied, so all 3 judges had to meet again and decide about the winner, After a quite long period of deliberation they designate Strnádová as the winner of the match... Monika Chochlíková will try to improve her mood in the Muay Thai, where she is also considered as one of the biggest favorites -70kg W Quarterfinals Alexandra Filpová 3 - 0 Polina Grossman Qualified to the Semifinals Semifinals Alexandra Filpová 2 - 1 Dajenka Meijer Qualified to the Gold Medal Bout After the shock of the elimination of Monika Chochlíková our delegation however enjoyed the rest of the night, when Alexandra Filipová secured the 3rd medal of the games by advancing to the Gold Medal Bout, where she will face her well-known rival from Aleksandra Krstič. In the quarterfinal she won over Polina Grossman of 3-0 (15:8, 16:6, 8:3) and later in the night she won also in a dramatic semifinal over the top favorite Dajenka Meijer 2:1 to qualify for the Final and thus assure at least a silver medal for herself and her country. Tough day for Alexandra Filipová with 2 games and 2 wins yesterday in the ring, first she beat Polina Grossman from (in the picture) to later win also in the semifinal Pics: SOŠV.sk

  11. Slovakia at the World Games 2022 0 - 0 - 2 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Team Day 5 Results Tuesday 12th PARACHUTING: Canopy Piloting M 9. Roman Dubský A very long 4 day competition finaly ended yesterday with the last 2 stages. In which he confirmed his current 9th position. From the 4 disciplines he clearly dominated in the Accuracy, being the best of all, unfortunately the Canopy Piloting consist of 4 different events, especially the Freestyle was his biggest weakness. In overall he finished at 9th place with a total of 148 points.

  15. Slovakia at the World Games 2022 0 - 0 - 2 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Team Day 4 Results Monday 11th. FIELD ARCHERY: Recurve Individual W 9. Denisa Baránková As 10th from the Qualifiers, In the 1st round she beat Erika Jangnas of 86:75, the 11th ranked archer from the yesterday´s qualifying round. In the Round of 16 she lost to the Tokyo 2020 Silver medalist Gaby Schloesser of 81:85 and ended the tournament on 9th Position. PARACHUTING: Canopy Piloting M 9. (After Stage 10/12) Roman Dubský The competition continued with another 4 stages, and already in the first one (Accuracy), Roman was the best of all (At this moment he moved up to the overall 6th place), but then did not exactly shine in the remaining 3 events (21st in Speed), (16th in Distance) and (20th in Freestyle) Overall 2 stages before the end of the competition sit in 9th place. ------------------------------------------------ Also a sad news arrived from Birmingham, Martin Nemček was extremely unlucky, suffered a not-specified lower body injury during the last training session !!! and was thus forced to withdraw from the Games and will not compete in any of the 2 Canoe Marathon and Standard Distance races he did qualify to... (After Stage 6/12) Roman Dubský Due Weather conditions yesterday the competition resumed with only 2 stages, the Interrupted Distance stage (Currently 16th.) and freestyle (12th), Overall he is on 8th place at the half part of the competition FIELD ARCHERY: Recurve Individual W 10. (After Qualifiers) Denisa Baránková Our sole Tokyo 2020 Olympian in this team achieved in the 2 Qualifying rounds 161 and 162 points respectively, so the total amount of 323 points. Which resulted in a 10th place in the Qualifying phase, Today she will face Erika Jangnas of in the 1st round
