  3. Not many upsets in groups B and C today I see - 2:30 - 22:5 - 2:24 - 2:21
  4. and another gold also in the Team event. A perfect day for the young Miroslava
  5. What a show again from the Dumbo-Ketones In other hand, Van Dumb always missing the stage wins, so super happy here
  6. Miroslava Hocková (the younger sister of our Paris ´24 already qualified Olympian Vanessa Hocková) is the new Junior world champion in Skeet
  7. Some rare positive news for totally decapitated tennis. Renáta Jamrichová just moved to the Top 3 in the W Junior world ranking. Can not remember last time we had anyone so high, maybe Hantuchová in the Jurassic era, but certainly none in the golden-tiktok era https://www.itftennis.com/en/rankings/world-tennis-tour-junior-rankings/ who knows, maybe we are finally finding an interesting prospect in the future. So let jump on the Renáta-hype train choo-choo
  8. Still surprising to me but ok Hope you guys will win a couple of them then
  9. 11 pages in the Diving thread ?!? why ? how ? wow... why ?
  10. I observe people generally being more dumber every year, so that fit perfectly into
  11. Always a super cool idea to make a selfie with the flying peloton
  12. the lil sister said STOP ! enough is enough ! After Paja´s (rumored-very) unlikely return to the sport after this season break due pregnancy, this is the latest and last right-handed-direct K.O. and funeral farewell to slovak biathlon. so very likely already in Cortina biathlon participation streak will end but, yeah, In other hand, less money to biathlon, more money to hockey
  13. Well, she arrived with high expectations here, probably her once in a lifetime chance to medal at "major" championship (and completely justified, after what I saw from here the whole season to today), so her tears were understandable but it is how it is, high level sport is also a matter of mental readiness and the ability to handle even the greatest pressure from the general public. This is another thing I noticed many times being the cause of failure of most of our athletes. In other hand she is still young and talented, I do believe this sorrowful experience can and will only help her in the future. I can bet my house she will never crash like that 2 hurdles from the line in the all rest of her life now
  14. 48 young athletes (26 boys and 22 girls) will represent the country from under the Tatras in Maribor. Exactly 10 are returning from last year´s EYOF including 2 medalsists, Silver medalist Lenka Gymerská (G 400m - Pic 1) and Bronze medalist Anna Šimková (G Pole Vault) but the biggest medal hope of the delegation is Patrícia Tománková - PIC 2 (believe it or not, but current World Ranking leader in the -40kg Judo class in her age category) - do not ask me, I have no idea, how it is even possible Will be hard - impossible - to repeat last year success with 2 Golds, 1 Silver and 3 Bronzes. Especially the 2 Golds won last summer (both by our Tennis prospect Renáta Jamrichová in Singles and Mixed Doubles) is an amount which will hardly be achieved in the near future Team Slovakia Athletics Boys: Martin Varhaník (100 m) Lukáš Rosenbaum (5000 m Race Walk) Peter Dávid (110 m Hurdles, 200 m) Filip Jančík (3000 m) Samuel Krepop (400 m) Alex Hulka (2000 m Steeplechase) Peter Csikós (800 m) Girls: Lenka Gymerská (400 m, Relay) Tamara Indrišková (5000 m race Walk) Laura Frličková (100 m Hurdles, Relay) Eliška Gašpárková (400 m Hurdles, Relay) Romana Hrnčárová (100 m, 200 m, Relay) Ema Vaňová (Heptathlon, Relay) Anna Šimková (Pole Vault) Ema Bendová (Long Jump, Relay) Mountainbike Cycling Boys: Peter Šoltés (cross country) Girls: Vanesa Šatková (cross country) Road Cycling Boys: Jakub Javor (Road Race, Time Trial) Dominik Sochan (Road Race, Time Trial) Jakub Mikuš (Road Race, Time Trial) Girls: Miriam Šichtová (Road Race, Time Trial) Barbora Pavlisová (Road Race, Time Trial) Tereza Ďuríková (Road Race, Time Trial) Artistic Gymnastics Boys: Peter Kremnický (All-Around) Sebastián Samson (All-Around) Judo Boys: Roman Dekan (-60 kg) Juraj Odkladal (-66 kg) Matej Pecha (-90 kg) Girls: Patrícia Tománková (-40 kg) Lili Kristína Križová (-44 kg) Ella Markovicsová (-52 kg) Nina Filkorová (-70 kg) Swimming Boys: Richard Urban (1500 m FS, 4x100 m FS) Tomáš Pavelka (1500 m FS) Mário Minárik (100 m BR, 200 m IM, 4x100 m Med) Jakub Stanko (100 m BR, 200 m BR) Adam Černák (100 m Fly, 200 m Fly, 200 m BR, 4x100 m Med, 4x100 m Med Mixed) Milan Vojtko (200 m IM, 400 m IM, 100 m BS, 4x100 m FS, 4x100 m FS Mixed, 4x100 m Med, 4x100 m Med Mixed) Oliver Tomas (200 m FS, 100 m FS, 4x100 m FS, 4x100 m FS Mixed, 4x100 m Med) Oliver Gray (100 m Fly, 200 m Fly, 4x100 m FS) Girls: Sára Orosz (400 m IM, 800 m FS, 200 m FS, 4x100 m FS, 4x100 m FS mixed) Sophia Gray (100 m Fly, 200 m Fly, 4x100 m FS) Stela Megelová (200 m BS, 200 m IM, 4x100 m FS, 4x100 m FS Mixed, 4x100 m Med Mixed) Nadine Horňáková (100 m BS, 200 m BS, 100 m Fly, 4x100 m FS, 4x100 m Med Mixed) Tennis Boys: Peter Zavacký (Singles, Doubles) Šimon Dióssy (Singles, Doubles) Girls: Soňa Depešová (Singles, Doubles) Mia Pohánková (Singles, Doubles)
  15. Nice jinx from the commentators our sole medal hope gone just like that by crashing at the 8th hurdle while being clearly in the lead... ...so yeah, Back to nothing as usual Hockey season starts soon
  16. Latest rumors saying Russian are intending to organize their own Olympics sort of BRICS nations games and they already picked a date and venue for the games, 1 month before the Olympics in Paris and the games will be in Kazan. They apparently already also invited and some others. Yeah, all in all, once again, I really don´t mind, but hope they will do the same also in January/February 2026
  17. So we have our Luis Suarez too it seems Juraj Kucka and his Dracula-like bite yesterday in the Champions League 1st pre-qualifying round against LUX champion... I swear, that Slovan Bratislava just can not stop on regular basis invent new ways how to embarass this country https://streamin.me/v/34970d32
  18. IOA as usual I guess. No idea but hopefully everything will end well and their suspension will be lifted before the games
  19. group a group every contenders dream to have
  20. and will not receive formal invitation for the next year SOG. IOC stated today However, Obviously, the most important question in all of this is - yes, you got it ! Will RUS qualify in Ice Hockey for Cortina ? and that sentence I took the liberty of highlighting in red, gives me some little minor hope we could possibly avoid the tricking qualifiers Will the Russian and Belarusian NOCs receive an invitation for the Olympic Games Paris 2024 when the invitations are sent on 26 July 2023? The current IOC recommendations for International Federations and international sports event organisers on the participation of athletes with a Russian or Belarusian passport in international competitions do not concern the participation of athletes and their support personnel with a Russian or Belarusian passport at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 or the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. The IOC will take this decision at the appropriate time, at its full discretion, and without being bound by the results of previous Olympic qualification competitions. The invitations to the 203 eligible NOCs will be sent on 26 July 2023. For the reasons given, this will exclude the NOCs of Russia and Belarus, plus the NOC of Guatemala, which is currently suspended.
  21. She is really amazing since last year´s EYOF
