  1. It is run by a different federation though
  2. 100 days to go until the first multi-sports games of the 2025
  3. Maybe my analogy was bad. I meant a team points competition based on individual placements in each event.
  4. I actually feel like it has the potential to be good change. The new brand identities might open up more possibilities for merchandise. I also think the ISU could create a compelling team standings competition similar to the constructors cup in F1. Plus, it might add a degree of “apolitical-ness” to the top level international short track, during a time where that’s been a hot topic in international sports (in general). Maybe it won’t work at all, but I’m open to seeing where the ISU go with this.
  5. More of the new national idenities have been added to the website, or I just noticed them for the first time
  6. Illic wins the vote and is re-elected as President of PanamSports.
  7. PanamSports is holding elections at its General Assembly today @intoronto @mrv86 @ManuCHIL: https://www.panamsports.org/en/news-sport/panam-sports-elects-its-leaders-for-the-next-4-years-in-the-general-assembly/ Neven Ilic and Keith Joesph are running for President.
  8. were allocated their first quotas in roller sports (speed skating).
  9. Quotas have been updated on the IWGA website. It looks like got a reallocated quota in the women's event, and got a reallocated quota in the mixed event.
  10. I can confirm they’re quite the thing to see in person. The University of California Santa Cruz uses them as the mascot.
  11. I have no idea honestly. It's fun to have official things though
  12. 2023 TISC Annual participants might be interested to know that California gained three more state symbols today: https://www.gov.ca.gov/2024/09/27/claws-for-celebration-governor-newsom-signs-legislation-establishing-state-crustacean-slug-and-seashell/ Here’s a list of the others: https://www.library.ca.gov/california-history/state-symbols/
  13. They've been modified a little it seems, so you might want to double check.
  14. I’m really looking forward to season three.
  15. was allocated their first quotas in inline hockey according to the IWGA's qualifications page.
  16. Acrobatic Gymnastics quotas as listed by the FIG: 2025_TWG_Chengdu_ACRO qualifiers.pdf
  17. I watched the long distance replay a while back, and don't remeber having too many issues with the quality.
  18. Replay of the men's and women's short distance from Birmingham 2022 in case you're interested @heywoodu
  19. From page 26 of the ICF Canoe Marathon Competition Rules: Link: https://www.canoeicf.com/sites/default/files/2023_icf_competition_rules_marathon_final.pdf
  20. Alright, assuming I've interpreted the canoe marathon qualification system correctly... Link: https://www.canoeicf.com/sites/default/files/world_games_rules_2025_proposal_rh_bv_rh_bv.pdf The quotas might be allocated as follows: Women's K1 - / The America's continental quota might go to (all athletes from the region were lapped), while Africa might go to (both their athletes finished with DNF) / The short distance quotas might go to (I'm not sure how these would be affected by potential continental reallocations) Men's K1 - / The final short distance quota might go (based off semifinal time) As always, none of this is official, as only the international federation can confirm who qualified.
  21. You still have the entirety of the 2024-2025 season to acclimatize at least. PDT might be one of the tougher time zones for following international sports though. I’ve had a lot of late nights and early mornings.
  22. Very nostalgic for me as I grew up watching the replays on YouTube.
