  5. I'm going to withdraw as a voting jury member. I definitely want to follow the contest, but I just need a short break from voting in the TISC. Thanks.
  6. Dove into my results archive again... I thought it might be fun to look at a single event from the same multi-sports games over time, so here's some comparative rankings from the Pan American Games (2007-2023). Men's Shot Put (Winners) - Athletics 2019 Pan American Games: Darlan Romani - 22.07m 2015 Pan American Games: O'Dayne Richards - 21.69m 2023 Pan American Games: Darlan Romani - 21.36m 2011 Pan American Games: Dylan Armstrong - 21.30m 2007 Pan American Games: Dylan Armstrong - 20.10m Women's K1 500m (Winners) - Canoe Sprint 2023 Pan American Games: Michelle Russell - 1:51.25 2019 Pan American Games: Beatriz Briones - 1:52.552 2011 Pan American Games: Carrie Ann Johnson - 1:54.243 2015 Pan American Games: Yusmari Mengana - 2:00.656 2007 Pan American Games: Jill D'Alessio - 2:01.977 Men's Sprint Qualification (1st Ranked Riders) - Track Cycling 2023 Pan American Games: Nicolas Paul - 9.574 (75.203 km/h) 2019 Pan American Games: Nicolas Paul - 9.808 (73.409 km/h) 2011 Pan American Games: Njisane Phillip - 9.977 (72.165 km/h) 2015 Pan American Games: Hugo Barrette - 9.978 (72.158 km/h) 2007 Pan American Games: Julio Cesar Herrera - 10.772 (66.839 km/h) Women's Jump (Winners) - Water Ski 2023 Pan American Games: Regina Jaquess - 52.2 2011 Pan American Games: Regina Jaquess - 50.60 2015 Pan American Games: Regina Jaquess - 49.1 2007 Pan American Games: Regina Jaquess - 43.70 Note: The 2019 Pan American Games were scored differently, thus not included on the ranking. Regina Jaquess was the winner. I didn't chose the above events for any particular reason, just thought I'd be interesting to look at the results. If there are any other events users would like to me to do this with, just tag me below.
  7. Worth remembering that the CAC Games are also a major qualification event for the PanAm Games, so certainly a difficult choice.
  8. There's now a direct overlap with the Central American and Caribbean Games...
  9. were allocated their first quotas in wushu according to the IWGA's qualifications page.
  10. Yeah, I will be forced to withdraw if the voting deadline is not moved past this weekend.
  11. I believe it’s also on the program of the 2025 Asian Winter Games.
  12. This might be of use: https://www.canoeicf.com/sites/default/files/cap_wc_bulletin_6.pdf
  13. The ICF will be trialing a "short course slalom" at the Hangzhou Super Cup: https://www.canoeicf.com/news/short-slalom-challenge-technical-abilities-athletes-super-cup
  14. Nice to see get a rare quota outside of athletics and swimming
  15. Qualification events in three sports will take place during the The World Games Series this weekend. The basic info is available here: https://www.theworldgames.org/news/The-World-Games-2025-33/Inaugural-The-World-Games-Series-kicks-off-in-Hong-Kong-2573
  16. It is run by a different federation though
  17. 100 days to go until the first multi-sports games of the 2025
  18. Maybe my analogy was bad. I meant a team points competition based on individual placements in each event.
  19. I actually feel like it has the potential to be good change. The new brand identities might open up more possibilities for merchandise. I also think the ISU could create a compelling team standings competition similar to the constructors cup in F1. Plus, it might add a degree of “apolitical-ness” to the top level international short track, during a time where that’s been a hot topic in international sports (in general). Maybe it won’t work at all, but I’m open to seeing where the ISU go with this.
  20. There’s two pages of those by the way.
  21. More of the new national idenities have been added to the website, or I just noticed them for the first time
  22. Illic wins the vote and is re-elected as President of PanamSports.
  23. PanamSports is holding elections at its General Assembly today @intoronto @mrv86 @ManuCHIL: https://www.panamsports.org/en/news-sport/panam-sports-elects-its-leaders-for-the-next-4-years-in-the-general-assembly/ Neven Ilic and Keith Joesph are running for President.
  24. were allocated their first quotas in roller sports (speed skating).
  25. Quotas have been updated on the IWGA website. It looks like got a reallocated quota in the women's event, and got a reallocated quota in the mixed event.
