  1. leading by three minutes(!) over the rest of the field in the biathlon relay at the second exchange
  2. Spitalar went 0/5 on her second shooting leg, and then 0/3 with the extra bullets. I think that's the first time I've ever seen that happen.
  3. They are referring to the events as "men's and women's" now it seems P.S. Please leave your edit for context. We don't need to accidentally fall down a gender debate rabbithole
  4. needed to return to their safe space, so its 4th for them in the relay
  5. suffer solo crashes in the second semifinal, so all the remaining teams had to do was not fall to make the A Final
  6. have separate solo crashes while in lead of the short track relay (by a great margin), through by virtue of not falling. Absolute shock Daleman can't catch a break (even when she stays on her feet).
  7. Here’s a stat that might interest you @heywoodu
  8. Obviously not my dream list, but it isn’t terrible either. Other than Io Capitano (which is one of my lowest rated films this year), I’m happy with the international feature nominations as well.
  9. Oscar nominations will be announced in a few hours, so here are my picks for Best Picture if it was up to me (in no particular order): - Past Lives - Society of the Snow - The Teacher's Lounge - Oppenheimer - Poor Things - Anatomy of a Fall - The Holdovers - Rye Lane - The Zone of Interest - Barbie Films that are right on the bubble in my selection (it was very hard to choose only ten): - All of Us Strangers - Monster - Earth Mama The only "major" contenders I haven't seen are Maestro and The Color Purple. There also some other international films and indie films that I'd like to see before fully settling on my best of the year list.
  10. With Lourimi taking the silver in monobob, each continental zone in the Olympic Movement now has a medal at the Games. This is only the second time that has happened at the Winter YOG (Innsbruck 2012 being the other). Plus, South America even joined in on the fun this time
  11. Gautero is almost certainly going to win the women's sprint with a single miss and adequate ski speed.
  12. Sever into the lead with, at this point, a respectable three misses...
  13. Lee goes 0/10 at the range, and adds a twelve(!) minute penalty for numerous infractions. Definitely not her day
  14. Mikolasova lays down the early mark in the women's sprint, even with five misses
  15. Mercado Salcedo started in the women's sprint @intoronto
  16. with yet another gold medal. They really are having a great YOG so far
  17. with a guaranteed top five in alpine skiing
  18. Sonnekalb also adds the 1500m title to his 500m victory. One or both of him and Daleman will have to lose the Mixed Team Relay though
  19. Daleman gets her second gold medal of the Games. A tale of two completely different outcomes for her across both disciplines.
