  1. I remember there were hours during Pyeongchang 2018 where I was playing a game during the (Korean) day. That says it all, I really don't have time to play a game for even 5 minutes during well-planned Olympics..
  2. Sure, but she's only 19 and it's her debut, she does have a bit of time to start growing into that Last season she has already shown she can very much hold her own in the IBU Cup upper half. Which is not a promise of a top-30 finish in the World Cup, but definitely shows she has the potential to at least challenge for a top half finish. Which would be a more than excellent start.
  3. That news is a happy, happy end to the weekend, merci! It's been a long time since I've been so excited to see someone's World Cup debut in any sport.
  4. Aw yes, awesome! Again days with 2-3 hours with one hundred million finals going on at the same time followed by 3 hours of sometimes even literally nothing going on! Fantastic! Uuuuugh.
  5. Jeez, Otepää isn't having a happy time are they? I feel like this is the umpteenth event there that had to be cancelled due to external factors in the past two years or so
  6. We've got common ground as well, as I generally cheer for Sarah Beaudry And for one of the Chinese girls, but sadly she's not in the World Cup that often. Wierer....let's just say I feel sort of the same about her as @Werloc does about Ilmars Bricis
  7. Not specifically my favourites (although there's nobody on there I dislike even a single bit), but that looks like an excellent list Mari Eder does deserve a special spot, especially that epic win in Oslo would have almost made one think someone was cutting onions nearby.
  8. I already had to wrap my head around my girlfriend being two years younger than my younger sister and my younger sister's boyfriend being several years older than me, so yeah Anyhow, other than Lithuanians and the always present ghost of Kaisa, who are you cheering for? Can I interest you in an extra cheer left or right for a hit by young Ukaleq or a good performance from the truly friendly Weidel? You know, if you're in need of someone to cheer for after Kaisa has left us
  9. I think you didn't tell this story here before, but I know you told it to me once, years ago It is a reason why I don't like Bricis though, since I think the fault in a situation like this (person A dating person B whilst being married with person C) is with the married/'unavailabe' person (him, in this case). If not entirely, at least 95% of it. So, yeah, we do at least have something in common in terms of one person we don't like
  10. I know Bendika as being nice from other things than media though (if @brunamoura, who personally knows her, says she is nice and friendly, I definitely believe so), so I'm for sure cheering for her. Although I'll be cheering most for Anna Weidel this World Cup season And some of the Swedish women as well. And Lena Häcki And the young Slettemark girl, but I doubt we'll see her in the World Cup yet. Same thing for Lotte Lie and Rieke de Maeyer
  11. Crap @brunamoura
  12. Morbidelli must be so glad he isn't the one relegated to Yamaha's other team
  13. If Pol Espargaro keeps this up (and Dovizioso, Espargaro and Viñales keep up their mediocre performanc), he's going to end up in 4th in the championship standings, on a KTM. That is some performance and very much makes him deserve the Repsol Honda seat next year. Then it's just a matter of hoping that very specific bike works well for him.
  14. Did Oliveira get himself a 1500cc machine or what?
  15. Sure he'll always be his son, that's how biology works. By now he is definitely his own rider though and only mediocre media would still keep calling him 'the son of Wayne Gardner' next year.
  16. And Bastianini it is, helped a bit by Gardner passing Marini and being out of Lowes' reach immediately, while taking his first ever win. Finally stepping out of the shadow of his dad
  17. Bastianini is relatively in control, but if he stays in 5th and Lowes - who is closing the gap to the lead - takes the win, Lowes is your champion..
  18. Bastianini is somewhat in trouble.
  19. Especially considering Lowes' quite seriously injured and possibly even broken hand. Marini and Bezzecchi will need a miracle of sorts.
  20. "Judge Brann, who would not even allow us to present our case or evidence" The text in which the case was dismissed quite literally stated that they expected evidence to be presented, but there was nothing
  21. Arenas it is, that was an entertaining final Fernandez dominated, again. Jeremy Alcoba with a 3rd place, his first ever podium
  22. Time for the first decider of the day, the Moto3 world champion will be one of Albert Arenas, Ai Ogura or Tony Arbolino. Leader Arenas and Ogura start from row two, Arbolino from th backfield after his stupidity in qualifying.
  23. First place for Chloe Caulier in boulder qualifying Sure, apart from Petra Klingler there's no global top-10 athlete, but still.
  24. That was a pretty nasty fall.
  25. Yes. Oddly, when opening the times for either Gisin or Vlhova, the skier under the one you opened disappears For example, note the disappearance of one Wendy H.
