  1. You're next
  2. And Klingenthal, which was supposed to start today, has been postponed. You know, no snow. Fuck this winter.
  3. Alex Ferlazzo with the first ever Australian Nations Cup win today in Sigulda!
  4. Oh wow, what a massively deserved win for Iran against Chile last night! Iran was about to be absolutely robbed after a total bullshit 2-minute send-off with 9 minutes to go and then seeming to lose it afterwards (being three points behind all of a sudden), but they fought back and even got the win Fantastic spirit.
  5. Well yeah, there aren't really a lot more 6 shorttrack skaters, 1 biathlete, 1 snowboarder, 1 speed skater and 1 alpine skier. I mean, technically that means two handfuls of athletes, and I don't know how many were at the opening ceremony (also no idea who competes today, so those can be counted out probably), but there were definitely not a lot more options
  6. And definitely the best World Cup result ever for blood! In biathlon, that is, obviously there have been a whole bunch of podiums and wins in alpine skiing by now.
  7. Start list for today's cross-country team sprint: https://lakeplacid2023-pdf.microplustimingservices.com/WU2023/CCS/2023-01-12/CCSXTEAMSP2-----------SFNL--------__C51F_1.0.pdf Spain with a decent team, Norway with Magnus Boø, who competed for South Korea until Pyeongchang (as Magnus Kim, I believe). For me the most-known name though is Switzerland's Malia Elmer, who was part of the local Swiss team which immensely helped Bruna at the final qualifying races for the Olympics in Switzerland, almost exactly a year ago now! They happened to be in the same hotel as the one where she was all alone, she saw some boots in front of a door so just decided to knock and hope for the best, and they ended up taking her to the races and having their wax guy wax her skis better than they had ever been waxed I had no idea she was competing there, go Malia!
  8. Oh this is promising
  9. The women's Nordic combined tomorrow has a grand total of 6 competitors (including 4 from Japan, two of which well-known World Cup athletes Kasai)
  10. I'm not entirely sure, but I do know the women's 5k speed skating world record is within 10 seconds from that time. So, I'm going for that!
  11. Is it 6 hours or 6 minutes?
  12. Up to you to post a new one now
  13. You seem way, way too nice and normal to be even remotely close to being a PiS supporter, so yeah, that's an easy guess
  14. Arianne Hartono beats Laura Pigossi and will be the sole Dutch representative in the women's singles. The other three lost out, just like both men, meaning in the men's event it'll be just Botic van de Zandschulp and Tallon Griekspoor. The latter did win his first ATP title last week, so who knows
  15. 18-0 it is, yikes.
  16. Yeah, I thought Tanzania might have had some runner setting the record
  17. I wonder if he'll actually be there. He better hurry, considering he competed in the Ruhpolding (GER) World Cup only yesterday. Surprised to see Franco del Farra there, and very curious what he can do, considering he already had a very good mass start result last weekend here in Europe.
  18. 100 mile running world record?
  19. Largest winning margin in the Tour de France?
  20. Oh duh, I entirely overlooked the one that says 'LIVE' in a bright-red box
  21. Meanwhile I'm still trying to navigate the FISU.tv site to figure out where to watch
  22. Oh well, that's often the level of university sports in general, apart from those 3-4 countries that take it somewhat seriously (and the main one isn't even there of course)
  23. So you're saying if he were to switch nationality , he'd be the best Dutch player of the past 20 years, right, got it!
  24. Well I know none of them, so spill it, who is Mr Superstar in this match?
  25. Is this the arena where our Great Leader is working?
