  1. If by "ready to compete against" you mean "ready to qualify for the final and be in the same race", then yes
  2. Well that wasn't too hard
  3. Hosszu looked like she didn't care about that gold at all
  4. "Man....I can't believe I'm experiencing this as a commentator! Bizarre...fucking bizarre! For years and years, you're watching this and hoping...and there he is...Max Verstappen in the last corner in Barcelona...Yoo hey! Yoo hoo! Yoo fucking hell how bizarre!! Un-be-lievable! Sports victories are so beautiful and this is by far the most beautiful I have ever seen in my life!" I loved his pirate imitation at the end, yoo hey, yoo hoo, yoo fucking hell By the way, he is the Dutch F1 commentator since the start of the 1990's already (not exactly sure when, but I know he was the commentator when Ayrton Senna died in 1994) so he has commentated through the entire career of Jos Verstappen. When his career started in 1994, the commentator once said that we'd see a victory from him one day. Now 22 years later it happened with his son. I was happy obviously, but almost more than anything, I was happy that this commentator's lifelong dream of commentating on a Dutch F1 victory came true yesterday after so many years
  5. So with her and the NOC being completely sure apparently, we can be certain that a tripartite spot has been returned (or two then)? People were fighting for her to get a wildcard based on her actions in the match against Schnaase (Schnaase's shoes broke, she had no pair of shoes available and the only option would be to retire, until Sarosi gave her her own spair shoes so she could continue the match, resulting in Sarosi losing the match and her chance to qualify). There was some talk about her having received a wildcard because of that, but it's hard to think they'd take away someone else's wildcard.
  6. Some Dutch examples too I think, but the NOC has already made their decisions about them.
  7. According to Hungarian media, Laura Sarosi (HUN) has qualified. There was talk about her receiving a special wild card for helping Karin Schnaase (GER) continue the match against herself and in doing so, throwing away her last Olympic chance, but if Google Translate is right, she has now gotten a ticket via world rankings. How is that possible? http://www.mob.hu/-el-voltam-keseredve-most-viszont-megvan-a-kvota-sarosi-lauranak- She also announced the news herself:
  8. As far as I could see the level of for example the Dutch guys here isn't that high.. Normally the Iranians (you know, the big 2 teams if I'm right) would absolutely destroy everyone in these kind of stages with quite though finishes (except for stage 1) I found it interesting that some unknown Dutch guys are taking the wins for now, but let's see how it develops
  9. Yeah....Sky is a miracle, isn't it?
  10. Oh come on, sports is the only reason why I know Slovakia is abbreviated "SVK", it makes no real sense otherwise But yeah, someone editing Wiki pages should have some familiarity with sports...dumb mistake
  11. The rain gave Roglic the win, which is awesome because I was a little sad he missed out on the win in the 1st stage...a former professional ski jumper wins a GT stage, what a day
  12. To show how much it means, these are scenes from a football play-off match to qualify for the European competitions, FC Utrecht vs PEC Zwolle:
  13. Fucking unbelievable. The literal (English) words of our Dutch commentator I have no words
  14. I have never, ever been so nervous during a Grand Prix...holy shit...could it really happen?!
  15. Mercedes kick each other out of the race Oh man
  16. Only 30 minutes....nervous nervous nervous
  17. 40 minutes and a bit to go
  18. We should start spreading around Europe as well On a more serious note: I don't think there is one "fair" way of voting possible. Especially the televoting will never be fair, no matter the way they do it. The way they're doing it now only increases the chances of the countries with many people in other countries (like Poland), because where they might normally get a quite low judges score and so receive few points, they can now get low judge scores but huge televoting scores. But if you change that, you'll get another system which also has major flaws. It's just impossible to do it completely fair unfortunately.
  19. The result of Poland in the televoting doesn't say anything about the quality of the song
  20. I only have time to look for one now, I'll look for the other or possibly others tonight
  21. The last part of your sentence is what I figured out like 2 minutes ago Well in that case, I'll look for one reserve
  22. Have you PM'ed all countries that haven't shown any sings of voting yet? If they react today, you might think about adding another day if it would mean we could get a couple of more participating countries..
  23. The 12 songs that will receive at least one point from the Netherlands have been selected and even ranked Do I need to select some reserve songs as well?
  24. Semi-finals of the women's Euro Hockey Club Champions Cup, but that's only because it's on the channel where I'm waiting for the F1 preview
