  1. Well this is interesting, I'll give those names a listen when I'm back home. If anyone has some more interesting metal suggestions, I'm always up for that or anything else that's (relatively) loud and hard (no electronic music usually, anything between Metallica and Lordi will do)
  2. Meaning Nouchka Fontijn definitely will have to reach the semi's here, seeing as she was eliminated in the 1st round of the OQT.

  4. That was one of the most epic cycling finishes I have seen...not so much because of the sprint, but because of the awesome last kilometers at the Laguna Seca race track
  5. Yes, the Dutch standard was top-25 in the Olympic ranking.
  6. Anyone good enough with results to make a simulation of what would happen if nations A, B, C, D and E lose X quota places?
  7. Moldova had 22 athletes in 2012 and 29 athletes in 2008. It's about all sports (without the team sports like football, handball and so on), not just about shooting.
  8. That could make things interesting for our newest Totallympics member then
  9. Those are wild cards, as far as I know only for nations that had 8 or less (individual!) athletes at the previous two Summer Olympics. Which is why you see countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan and Andorra receive those wild cards/tripartite places. If I'm wrong, I'm sure dcro will correct me
  10. This depends on any nation declining a quota (in this case in women's 10m air rifle), no matter if it's a nation that won a quota place or a nation that got a tripartite place, right?
  11. Kunzang Lechen (women's 10 m air rifle) Wild card for Bhutan
  12. If I'm not mistaken, Moldova is not a nation that can receive these wildcards, because they had too many athletes at the previous Olympics. I'm guessing that means for 2020 you'll have to qualify 100% based on the qualifying criteria for winning a quota.. On the good side, welcome to Totallympics
  13. Pretty much as expected, one Dutch triathlete in Rio. It's a shame for Caelers though with all her injuries and bad luck.
  14. Around 25% more, depends on your definition of "much more" And I might have meant "much more than the 26 that were in the final"
  15. Unfortunately this Wikipedia-link doesn't give the exact judge + televoting results per year. I would love to see those numbers, but I'm guessing in the past years Poland would year after year get more points from televoting than from jury, because well, there's a lot of Polish people around Europe voting for Poland. It would be great to see those numbers over the years Apart from all that, I'm just saying countries that will get a lot of televoting points no matter what kind of song they send have a big advantage with the new voting/vote announcement system. This has nothing to do with xenophobia by the way, which is a fear of that what is foreign. I have no fear of Polish music.
  16. But in total there were much more participants in Eurovision
  17. Has he even participated since around the 2014 Asian Games?
  18. I absolutely would have voted "Yes" for the German solution, great to read that. Until indeed that last post where it's like "I don't really care about this contest anyway"...in that case, "No" is unfortunately the right decision.. Anyway, great to see that as always the last 24h (and an extra day) meant the number of participants greatly increased
  19. Almost the same as Peru against Italy....and Kazakhstan is 30+ against South Korea
  20. Bronze for Belgium
  21. A medal should of course be possible, bronze would be realistic and good
  22. Obviously it's hard to know whether or not the Aussie's will be in the same shape as during their national championships and there's quite a reasonable chance they won't be in that shape, but if they are, they have 4 swimmers who can compete with the times of Heemskerk and Kromowidjojo. The Dutch team only has a chance against that when the Aussie's are either disqualified or somehow screw up big time.
