  1. And Jebet around one second, what a meet in Eugene
  2. In the shape he showed yesterday, yeah it's going to be hard to see him outside of the podium On the other hand, there were some world class riders who were in fantastic shape as well yesterday but missed out of the final because of one very small mistake (Willoughby and Strombergs mostly), they'll definitely be up there in Rio as well
  3. Well, last year's results don't really mean so much anymore one year later This year he really was not in shape at all...bad moves, not strong enough to overtake the places he lost in the first turn and so on. So considering the more recent months, him winning a medal definitely is kind of a surprise
  4. Silver for Kimmann, that's a nice surprise And very impressive riders for Van Gendt, Van Benthem, Judy Baauw, Merel Smulders and Ruby Huisman today, this is looking good for the future
  5. The TV directors show a replay from an angle where you can't see Nizzolo's illegal move
  6. Nizzolo finally wins a stage after nine second places. What a sprinter, he really needs ALL sprinters to be gone before he can win The best part is, he might get disqualified for his move (I think Modolo would win then?)
  7. Wait, you are only posting the time trial qualifications Buchanan won the gold, Smulders silver and Pajon bronze. Kimmann won the men's world title by beating Sam Willoughby of Australia and Latvian Maris Strombergs.
  8. And Merel Smulders won the world junior title
  9. I'll eat my shoes (as a matter of speech) if they vote against baseball
  10. The difference is that it'll be official Olympic medals And all those other sports...damn. Karate? No thanks, we have enough combat sports and it's not even a "real" combat sport, especially that kata-thing. Skateboarding and surfing? Keep in the X-Games will you? Climbing? Now what, we'll have a combined event...is it normal in sports climbing that people are good in all three events or will we see totally new athletes?
  11. Baseball and softball will be on the Olympics in Tokyo, because Japan. But indeed, a tournament with 6 teams is absolutely nothing more than a bad joke.
  12. How about Verstappen Instead of him being around 5th place all race, we can now possible see an awesome race tomorrow where he overtakes a lot of people (if all goes well) Ricciard had the perfect qualifying, pole position AND he can start the race on harder tyres
  13. No points if you guessed that
  14. Incredibly lucky victory for Nibali of course, but let's be fair, those last two days were impressive. There's no sign he would have won it without Kruijswijk's fall so it's quite lucky for Nibali, but at least he attacked in the last two stages making his win a little bit bearable. All in all it's such a huge shame that what so far was a fantastic Grand Tour finished in such a way, decided by a fall.
  15. Chavito seems to be struggling a bit..
  16. Absolute mayhem since it started raining a little while ago Red flag now, logically. Huge hailstorm followed and this is how it's looking now:
  17. The last climb, probably
  18. Live stream for the 24h of the Nürburgring at the legendary 20km Nordschleife https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zspyrZ07Ok
  19. I'm doubting he is strong enough to attack again, but yeah, this is quite painful Don't forget though that it's not a matter of just saying "Ah alright, let me get in this break away" and done...it's not that easy By the way, I know Nibali/Chaves/Valverde etc didn't attack yet, but so far Kruijswijk is looking surprisingly strong.
  20. Horrible crash in the Tour of Belgium with, again, two motorcycles. Apparently they were riding on a path to the side of the road, which suddenly ended, resulting in them suddenly being in the mud. Because of that they lost the control of their motorbikes and "flew" into the peloton. Reports are saying around 20 riders were hit and 11 are transferred to a hospital. Stig Broeckx (BEL, Lotto-Soudal) is apparently the worst hit rider: some are saying he has been resuscitated and moved to the Aachen hospital by trauma helicopter.
  21. There were doubts whether or not there would be a Holland Heineken House again this year, but luckily Heineken came out pretty quickly saying something like "Of course there will be!" It's always cool to see the reports of the medal celebration there, because athletes are celebrated better than at the official medal ceremonies
  22. You gotta stay positive in these cases
  23. To better doping tests. Still more to come probably though, seeing as they're not done retesting.
  24. Well, congratulations lucky Nibali. Hopefully at least Chaves can keep his lead tomorrow. What an absolute nightmare day it was.
