  1. Bulgaria, we're alive, theoretically
  2. This! We really need some Bulgarian succes..
  3. 13 minutes in and the Dutch is already trailing, what else is new....
  4. Marczynski is now even better than he was when he was riding for the magical teams of Ceramica Flaminia and Torku Sekerspor's rocket fuel
  5. Motorbike madness once again, welcome to Spain, where it's a matter of time before a cyclist get's badly hurt by motorcyclists who should be covering the race.
  6. Froome with a mechanical issue at around 10-12km from the finish, followed by a slow bike change and, one corner later, a fall... Now FFS don't let the others wait like they did in the Tour, handing the GC to Froome without a fight.
  7. Wikipedia is usually faster and easier https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_World_Rhythmic_Gymnastics_Championships
  8. I would think most people just find it a bit of a boring thing to watch. At least, that's it in my case (mostly because I don't have a clue if something is good or not, just like in equestrian dressage, and it's not that spectacular for me like artistic gymnastics). I have absolutely no doubt they work their asses off just as much as the average cyclist, runner or swimmer
  9. Ah damn, the Olympics suck in terms of these kind of rules. Well, 10k then.
  10. Wonderful plan! If Bruna qualifies, I guess she can only compete in the 10k and sprint, so the rest doesn't matter as much for me. If she doesn't qualify, I'll definitely stay home
  11. Sounds like if I'm going (which would mean my best friend is participating) I'm going to have to bring some Brazilian flags to make it all look a bit more exotic Maybe bring some air horns and stuff and hand them out to people around me
  12. Maybe South Koreans are a little like Americans, buying their tickets on the day before or the day of the event instead of months in advance Oh well, I doubt the Koreans will give two fucks about cross-country skiing so I'm still hopeful I might be able to get tickets for that in January when I know whether or not I want to go to the Olympics.
  13. Apart from the sentence I made bold, I agree with basically everything It definitely has a much bigger fan base than several current Olympic sports and I'm pretty sure it'll be easier to follow than dressage or even sailing.
  14. That could be solved by letting the international federation create a game for competition purposes only, but obviously that would have absolutely no attraction among top competitors (who won't care about some random game, but care about the actual big games), so that's not really an option too.
  15. It doesn't have to weigh 4 kilos to be very much physically intensive. It's not like most top competitors spend a lot of time on physical training (including visits to the gym) for fun.
  16. Those 5 September races in Termas de Chillan....that's new, that wasn't there earlier this week, awesome Now I hope the Brazilians aren't leaving for Argentina after the 4 September races..
  17. Oh my, did any element even work out as planned?
  18. I don't think shooting for example is so much more physically demanding, I mean, judging by the sizes of quite a lot of the competitors. By which I'm not saying shooting is not demanding, I'm saying e-sports is a lot more physically demanding than most people think. Not allowing e-sports simply because "there's no physical activity" only shows one doesn't really have a clue (although that does sound perfectly like what the IOC might do then ), not allowing it because the games are all made and owned by large companies and the competition would be one huge commercial for them is a way better reason. So I can't vote yes or no in this poll: I'd vote no, but not because 'it's against the tradition of sports', because it's not, or at least not more than other 'artificial' sports (basically sports besides running fast, swimming fast and fighting)
  19. It's not Just another Froome show, nobody is strong enough to gain some serious advantage and Sky has a new rider to tickle the funny bone: in the Tour it was Kwiatkowski who magically found the strength of an alien, now it's classic races specialist Moscon who's destroying everyone on the long climbs.
  20. That's the main reason why I'd vote no, indeed.
  21. Points!
  22. Question about the results portal? Why are there no brackets used (like in tennis) in sports where a bracket is the way it works? For example in judo, posts and things are so incredibly long, it's just not readable. Why would anyone want to look there instead of for example on Wikipedia, where almost an entire weight class fits in one or maybe two screens and you have the advantage of clicking on an athlete's name to see their Wiki page? Not to sound too complaining, but I find it a little hard to see any advantage of using the Totallympics results portal vs a way bigger site like Wikipedia for almost all sports (at least world championships). I see the advantage for small competitions, but for tennis Grand Slams or big world champs or anything, Wikipedia is a million times more user-friendly and that's not gonna change..
  23. Hopefully An Chang-rim takes bronze so at least one of my bronze predictions in 73kg is right, the other one is lost already no matter who wins
  24. My gold was correct My silver was correct One of my bronze medal predictions was correct (Any other, Smythe-Davis wasn't in the list) Good score
  25. On which stream did you see that? I'm rewinding the one on Ippon.org around 13-20 minutes back but only see replays.
