Qualification Tracker

  1. Kevin Munch is on freaking fire!
  2. These are the nominees? Or is it sort of an Oprah Winfrey-like award show? YOU GET A PRIZE, YOU GET A PRIZE AND YOU GET A PRIZE!
  3. That would be another option. How does the qualifying work? I hope it's not 2-by-2, meaning 50% of the field has an advantage if one of the two tracks is slightly faster?
  4. And as everyone expected (and rightly so), Tom Dumoulin (cycling) won the men's award, beating Max Verstappen (Formula 1) and Sven Kramer (speed skating).
  5. Dafne Schippers (athletics) won the Dutch sportswoman of the year award, beating Marit Bouwmeester (sailing) and Anna van der Breggen (cycling). Jac Orie (coach of the LottoNL-Jumbo speed skating team) won the coach of the year award, and Jetze Plat (paratriathlon) got the disabled sportsperson of the year award. Now on to the men.
  6. Two runs is more fair indeed, so my preference would be to have two runs in every round, but that'd take too much time I guess.
  7. If anything, it should be the other way around.
  8. Damn it, missed it. The season of midweek races is so annoying
  9. What a win for Lim
  10. Nice week of biathlon for all fans The atmosphere was good, tracks were good, there were some good races, nice to see Kuzmina in good shape meaning yet another contender (which is good for every neutral fan) and nice to see Braisaz take her first win
  11. Bad news keeps coming out of Germany, after Neureuther it's now Stefan Luitz' turn to announce a major injury (torn ACL) and the end of his Olympic hopes http://www.spiegel.de/sport/wintersport/stefan-luitz-verletzung-des-deutschen-skirennlaeufers-das-knie-ist-muskulaer-komplett-zu-a-1183766.html
  12. I hope so too. The Brazilian in Project Bogota said he's a really nice and friendly guy, who was willing to learn from the others and also willing to help them in things he can help them with (like some better equipment since he's more famous and has more access to good sponsors), so I'm definitely cheering even more for him now
  13. Maybe he's having a short training camp in Austria while figuring out where the next races will be?
  14. That moment when you say bye to your girlfriend and you know it's gonna be at least a couple of months until you see each other again
  15. I hate this kind of bullcrap, a race being completed when not even a half of the starters have actually started like today in Val Gardena. Good for Ferstl though
  16. Apparently not, since he's competing in the Junior Cup at the moment
  17. World championships start tonight, everyone ready?
  18. Due to a fall (Gabi) and some weird, still not understood munition problems (Bruna)...odd day. The good news is Jill Colebourn got 234 points so she's qualified for the next trimester
  19. Damn it, rifle problems for both Gabi and Bruna
  20. Men's individual in Obertilliach: Now it's time for the women, so....vamos
  21. That only took a year or so.
  22. This whole thing is getting so tiring anyway. Tyumen hosts a World Cup, federations should get over it and just send their athletes instead of making a 'statement' nobody gives a crap about and that's only bad for their own athletes..
  23. Koukalova has been spotted here in Obertilliach and she looks a lot healthier
  24. Good for them I guess. Well, not for the athletes. But alright. The athletes aren't very important I guess
  25. Not just Totallympics Froome and the whole Team Sky gang are just as fishy as the likes of Astana.
