    US speedskating has no depth in the longer events Apart from Chad Hedrick, they never really had big names there (Shani Davis was ok for a while, but mostly an all-rounder)

    Probably one of the things I respect most about these travelling athletes, living like that yet staying in top physical condition (something I can only even think of doing when I'm at home in the conditions I am perfectly used to). Apart from that, I would probably just have said "I crashed", but ok, it's deep indeed

    Epic match from 19-year old Terrance Ferguson of the OKC Thunder against the LA Lakers last night....his first real big match (they let him start in Andre Roberson's place) and he delivered with 24 points (including six 3-point shots) and two absolutely wonderful dunks

    German TV had a nice piece about Kuzmina before the race by the way, about things like how her son was the reason she decided to continue competing (because he said he hadn't seen her on the podium, course and shooting range enough yet ). The report was specially made for our biggest German Kuzmina-fan and @hckosice.

    I saw athletes start, ski and reach time checks before Herrmann had her first shooting (basically just like in any other venue)...and I'm watching German TV
