  1. Always finishes somewhere near dead-last. That is, if he finishes. Usually in stage races he gave up after a few easy stages (where he finished somewhere at the end). Didn't even finish the U23 time trial at the world champs in 2012, he was too tired apparently. If stories are to be believed, his rich dad/family is the only reason he got some contracts (especially at those teams like Neri Sottoli and Southeast)
  2. Apparently the mistake is on ProCyclingStats and it should be his brother.
  3. Well this is confusing. The world's worst professional cyclist is back, yet his ban isn't over for more than a year?
  4. It's still the best decision. I mean, not necessarily this team, but I'd definitely select Prock as well (I'd go for Kastlunger instead of Egle though).
  5. Choosing Iceland instead of Turkey?
  6. I'd definitely be in (with both at the end of the year and the reverse one, that sounds kind of interesting). Now, hands up for anyone else?
  7. Orion won the first set against Surgut in Siberia
  8. This set
  9. North and South will walk together under the flag of a unified Korea at the opening ceremony, this is wonderful news
  10. Siberian indoor athletics champs in Russia. News breaks through that there would be doping tests and, *poof*, 36 athletes suddenly get sick and withdraw https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/jan/17/probe-as-russian-athletes-withdraw-ahead-of-doping/?utm_source=RSS_Feed&utm_medium=RSS
  11. I would not recommend an MMA career to Afflalo.
  12. Now that you mention it, I had completely forgotten about that Yeah you're right, it often came up with some surprising results (or at least surprising nominees)...that is a shame indeed.
  13. I'm glad, my 8-year old bet 'Will Wozniacki win a GS in her career?' is still alive (I believe at odds of 3.5 or something) I've been hoping, losing hope and hoping again for 8 years now. Come on.
  14. At least Gatlin is not in current doping trouble. Not that I very much approve of him being in the list, but it's still different than someone who is actively in trouble at this very moment.
  15. Froome on the list of nominees My picks: Federer (at least not Farah, if there's a year not to choose him, it's 2017) Shiffrin New England Patriots or Mercedes F1 Dressel (no way Joshua's 2017 still falls under breakthrough) Pearson (with Chapecoense as only rival) No idea about the rest.
  16. Understandable, but too bad
  17. Sprint domination by Ewan
  18. She won halfway through August and 'only' lost 6 consecutive matches, which isn't even close to Mladenovic's streak of horror
  19. Haven't heard anything about that, but I don't think they have been in the discussion. There's no way to trick the standings or results in any way that would make it look like they reached the standards (especially the bobsleigh team has not even been close to dreaming of the standard)
  20. Or LaShawn "I wanted a bigger dick" Merritt. Or Erik "The rubber band around my arm was too tight" Dekker.
  21. Froome/Sky keep embarrassing themselves. Their latest attempt for an excuse is that his kidney's were having a problem and then, *poof*, all of a sudden released all that salbutamol right before the doping test. What a coincidence!
  22. World Cup, I believe.
