  1. One wonders if the better option was not to go straight to Turkey without such a hurry, and start there with less stress on your mind and (more importantly) well-rested..
  2. Turkey this week (where I suppose he stayed after missing his flight), last chance if I'm not mistaken.
  3. The Dutch NOC has decided to scrap Nikitina out of the World Cup standings, meaning Bos ends up in 12th place, right inside the required top-12, and she'll go to the Olympics
  4. Schedule (Local time)
  5. Beating Milos Raonic, after Lacko lost against Haase last week. Which in fact means Haase is even better than Raonic and so it's only a matter of time to see a Lacko - Haase GS final
  6. Mladenovic well on her way to a 15th consecutive loss (didn't win since early August), yet in the virtual rankings she moves up to a new career high of 9th
  7. Well, I hope the skicross golds to go Näslund and especially Öhling Norberg, for Anna Holmlund
  8. He is a popular person to make fun of
  9. Too bad there was no place for cult hero Martin Hänggi
  10. True, but in terms of (gold) medal chances he wasn't up there with those other four. Anyway, losing five rather serious medal chances (of course not definitely losing some gold medals, we'll never know about that) is just so incredibly disappointing for any nation And disappointing for the neutral viewer as well.
  11. @hckosice Question from a user on the same Dutch forum today: "Bedene is Slovak again? "
  12. Haase losing to the world number 219, Lorenzo Sonego This is a perfect addition to Haase's list of beautiful losses that's being kept on a Dutch forum
  13. This is just getting cruel. After Severin Freund (ski jumping), Felix Neureuther (alpine skiing) and Lisa Zimmermann (freestyle skiing), also Heidi Zacher (ski cross) is out of the Olympics. Germany losing 4 serious (gold) medal chances in the run-up to these Olympics, the Bad Luck Award already definitely goes to them (not counting Stefan Luitz, who would be considered a medal outsider, but still)
  14. Now we can all place our bets on how soon he will be bankrupt, without friends and a pariah in his family
  15. Biathlon IBU Open European Championships 2018 Ridnaun-Val Ridanna (ITA) - 24 January 2018 - 28 January 2018 Totallympics Results Thread
  16. The Dutch quota not being used was 99,99% certain, but Slovakia? Damn, @hckosice must be heartbroken
  17. Estrella Burgos finished his preparation tournament and can now get ready for his personal Grand Slam in Quito.
  18. And Sock out, glad I'm not a US fan
  19. Kostyuk and Bencic winning is not so surprising btw
  20. 15-year old qualifier Marta Kostyuk kicks out Peng Shuai 6-2, 6-2 Bertens
  21. I have just left 'Qualifier' where I think the qualifier would lose in round one anyway (just not at the men's tournament because there I thought it would be useful, but it wasn't ), and where I thought the qualifier would win at least the first round, I wrote the name with (Q) behind it.
  22. Whereas apparently the Dutch men made it to the play-offs and are one set of matches away from the first world championships in forever
  23. I agree (and honestly I think most participants wouldn't have a problem with it), but at least let's have the people who did have their predictions in have their contest. Consider it sort of the Biathlon auf Schalke of prediction contests: it doesn't count for anything, but those who are there do want to win
  24. So simply say "Ok people, there were some problems, short notice etc, so the contest will go ahead, but it won't count towards the general standings." Participants happy (at least most of them, I suppose) because they didn't spend their time for absolutely nothing, you happy because there's not an 'unfair' general standings or something. Nobody loses, unlike now.
