  1. Nope, but I'll ask on a Dutch forum. I do know that they didn't find a main sponsor, so they're depending on many small local sponsors. The good news is that ticket sales are going well, the match against Cuba is almost sold out already (3000 people) and 75% of the sky boxes have already been booked. Basically it needs to be a financial succes (or at least not a loss) or else it's probably over, since this is most likely the last chance for the tournament.
  2. Weird that Dumoulin got it or weird that Fuglsang didn't? Because just to clarify: basically everyone in the Netherlands, from fans to media, agrees that they are right to give Dumoulin the penalty (which was more or less a tactical decision probably, now he lost 20 seconds with that, but without stayering he might have lost much more)
  3. Great, because when you're going to a stadium with 60.000 people dressed in a bikini with a golden crown on your head and flags on your face and waving flags in your hand jumping up and down as high as you can, the last thing you want is for people to see you
  4. By the way, odd time penalty for Dumoulin. He deserved the penalty for stayering behind the car, no doubt, but less than 20km earlier Fuglsang and half the Astana team did the exact same thing...I would suppose they got the same penalty, but strangely I've heard nothing about it..
  5. Hold your horses, there's a mountain in the middle.
  6. Still one day behind with watching (just finished yesterday's evening session). The commentator after Zohri won: "History has been made! The first ever Indonesian gold medal......in the men's 100 meters.....in the U20 World Championships!" I really don't think the main bit of history here is "the first Indonesian ever to win the 100 meter in the U20 worlds" Had they ever won any medal at all, any event? Or even any age category?
  7. This is a bigger upset than Germany not qualifying for the knock-out stage.
  8. The Tour de Suisse is already sort of nicknamed the fourth Grand Tour
  9. Don't get me wrong: I don't dislike it, I just don't see why this huge stuff in huge letters couldn't be put in a spoiler, so those who want to scroll their way through it only have to make 1 click. I'm not saying "don't post it", just "it doesn't need to take 2 full screens of space"
  10. Viet-Nam 'Chinese' was too long to write?
  11. Out of curiousity: isn't it a good idea to use the spoiler option for those huge posts with two big videos and the top-3 of a stage in letters that are so big my entire screen is filled with just 3 names? It costs only like 2 seconds extra to click on the 'Spoiler' button and post it there, but it saves a whole lot of scrolling Easy.
  12. Nah, not in terms of his podium chances, with that crazy hard Giro in his legs
  13. This is, in no way at all, anything close to normal Two and a half minutes in a 15km climb time trial
  14. Porte thinks this is Willunga Hill.
  15. I doubt it matters much, it's not like one should realistically expect him to fight for the podium
  16. This timing for Dumoulin to get a flat tyre
  17. The same can be expected for the final climb, since there's a strong headwind and it's probably mostly gonna be a matter of waiting as long as possible.
  18. The first option, as far as I know they'll still compete as BEL and as NED. Mostly it'll be Belgian women and Dutch men forming one team (not on-track). "That way, the men can help us carry the heavy sled, every little bit helps", according to Elfje Willemsen
  19. Belgium and the Netherlands will form one team from now on, with Tom De La Hunty as head coach, and a German starting coach. Curious how that's gonna work out
  20. Damn. At least it sounds hopeful...
