  1. Sagan is a fan of the new Eddy Sagan/Peter Merckx.
  2. Anyway, Halep powered by Nike is out, Bertens presented by FOX Sports and Wilson is in.
  3. Luckily this is not a racing forum, otherwise we'd have threads about for example the 2018 Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda
  4. Thanks, I was wondering who presented this tournament
  5. Really, the guy has not had enough injuries yet? Come on..
  6. The most obscure of all World Tour races is going quite well for the two top Dutch sprinters so far Groenewegen won stage 1 of the Tour of Guanxi with Jakobsen 3rd, German Ackermann won stage 2 with Jakobsen and Groenewegen 2nd and 3rd and Jakobsen won stage three with Groenewegen 4th Today's finish: https://streamable.com/2xwfx
  7. Surprising
  8. I did not see that coming Too bad he's joining Terdiman and not Matt Mortensen, at least the Dutch Eurosport commentator can 'somewhat' pronounce 'Mortensen', but 'Terdiman'? Forget it.
  9. I know you're not the youngest anymore so I can forgive your memory lapses, but that hardcore doper was only 55 https://www.corriere.it/cronache/18_luglio_14/anna-pediatra-bridge-squalificata-doping-il-ricorso-costa-troppo-fdc32be2-87aa-11e8-bfdc-8bbc13b64da8.shtml
  10. Penz/Fischler retired, Eggert/Benecken out for half the season...luckily it's only a post-Olympic season.
  11. Thanks. Good that wrestling and boxing aren't big in the Netherlands and I probably won't write too much about it on a Dutch website, because it would feel really strange to write some article and only mentioned someone's first name
  12. It'd be cool. I can already see my visit to the 2026 Olympics consist of travelling back and forth from the hotel to the biathlon to the Latteria for a big coupe of ice cream, back to the hotel to sleep aaaaand repeat. Livigno
  13. Biathlon in Livigno? Wind lottery incoming
  14. Final heat of the women's 100m finished, with the top-3 of stage 1 being very close together again, but this time in reversed order. It's clear who won the heat, but nobody knows who won which medal, so that's all very tense and full of waiting and suspense.....and then before showing any graphic or giving any information whatsoever, they switch to a medal ceremony, followed by the final results the introduction of 15 athletes for the next event The positive thing about the athletics so far is that some events are really close, like Lescay vs Cowly in the long jump or the women's long jump medals all being within 1 centimeter
  15. Even the results site is confused by the stages format https://www.buenosaires2018.com/results/en/athletics/final-placing-men-s-5000m-race-walk.htm?lng=nl The 'final rankings' tab simply mentions the result of stage 1 and that's it
  16. Gold for Mauritius
  17. Wait, the Kenyan is only listed as winning 1 gold medal, whereas in the commentary they said he won the 3000m and cross-country gold medals. https://www.buenosaires2018.com/results/en/athletics/athlete-profile-n1030028-muema-jackson-kavesa.htm?lng=nl
  18. "Sime (ETH) was certain of a gold medal, having lead his fellow 2000m competitors in both events. However, it was unclear until later that the Kenyan had also won gold for the combined 3000 meters and cross-country." This piece of commentary in the highlight video sums up the middle-distance format quite nicely: utterly impossible to follow.
  19. A thing, apparently.
  20. Isn't it confusing that half of the Indian athletes only have one name? I mean, there must be millions of Vijay's and Manjeet's
  21. The 15-year olds of today watch YouTube? I thought they were just busy Snapchatting whatever Oh wait, senseless vlogs must be viewed too, indeed
  22. England, Ireland getting a boatload of medals, the usual suspects as you said before
