  2. Whoever it may have been, one can't deny the atmosphere for the road races in Indonesia was really, really cool Rwanda is on top and unbeatable, but Indonesia did a good job
  3. Those morons swinging their dicks while running in front of the peloton on a climb in a Borat suit? Yeah, I always thoroughly enjoy when someone trips them over or knocks them straight on the face.
  4. Has the IOC cut off bandwith for the video-on-demand section or something? All of a sudden since today they are pausing every few seconds and it's nearly unwatchable..
  5. Haha next thing you know Beijing gets a second Olympics and world track cycling championships are going to Turkmenistan or something
  6. That is freaking hilarious.
  7. After the Davis Cup, also Wimbledon has banished the most epic of fights: 5th sets will now get a tiebreak when it gets to 12-12.
  8. I hadn't seen her before because I don't really watch volleyball usually, but Egonu is such a beast
  9. Fight 210 means it's the 10th fight on mat 2 or how should I read that?
  10. Exactly. Which meant that at the moment of which I posted that screenshot (with only Thiery still having at least one attempt left) it was already sure who would get which medals, but according to the commentator we would still have to wait and see. Anyway, in general the field events were absolutely piss poor in terms of how they were introduced (commentary, graphics etc). The only way to somewhat follow what was going on was by having an Excel sheet or something and manually filling in every attempt there, which I really don't think is the direction athletics should be going in. Decathlon/heptathlon are complicated enough to follow, we really don't need this for every single event...throw the furthest, run the fastest or jump the furthest/highest and you win.
  11. A Serbian referee in a semi final to decide who plays against Serbia in the final, that's....interesting It's quite odd that Serbian/Dutch/Chinese/Italian referees would be allowed to lead any of these two semi finals..
  12. cheater referees
  13. Which is when the Dutch commentator called for "All balls on Busa please"
  14. Yeah this is over, time for some gardening
  15. Not great enough
  16. Yep I was already halfway to the bathroom but was in time to come back
  17. But others have said that what counts in terms of a tie in the combined result is the best single result...so this 10.32 tie is decided by the 5.27, 5.22 and 5.20 respectively. Apparently.
  18. This must be the first time I set my alarm for volleyball Let's go
  19. Aren't junior and youth mostly different age categories anyway, with maybe an exception or two here and there?
  20. Great news, it's always "athlete X got injured and misses out" and repeat for 5 more athletes, but meanwhile it's easy to forget the athletes to who that happened a year ago are now coming back again
  21. Question time. This is the standings in the pole vault where I am watching now: Thiery is the only athlete who still has at least one attempt remaining, all others are out. At this point, how can Furusawa get anything other than silver (apart from post-competition DQ's)? According to the commentator, we 'now have to wait and see what these results will mean in terms of who gets which medals'.... As terrible as the format and commentary is by the way, the awesomeness of this pole vault competition made up for that by a wide margin
  22. Commentator when seeing the hair of Bulgarian sprinter Vesselin Jivkov: "People pay good money for wigs that big!"
  23. Stage 1 of the triple jump: 1. Diaz 17.14m 2. Oritsemeyiwa 16.34 Stage 2 of the triple jump: Diaz starts with 17.04 for a combined 34.18m. Commentator: "That's the gold, it would take a massive improvement of the senior world record for anyone to even challenge him now". 34.19 - 16.34 = 17.85. Almost half a meter less than the senior WR. Get your facts rights, commentator
