  1. I googled Masters of Tanking because it sounded cool and then I realised what you meant.
  2. 11 holes played, 3 eagles, 4 birdies
  3. Honestly at this point I think "Country X wants to host it" is significantly more important than "Country X already hosted it 16-20-24-28 years ago"
  4. Watching the table tennis...did they forget some microphones? There is (literally) no sound from the balls being hit and bouncing on the table, that's so annoying, table tennis should have that familiar defining sound
  5. The main non-existing reason being they haven't shown official interest
  6. They'll have to find a way for it one way or another then. It'd be a matter of making choices, which would most likely mean missing World Cups.
  7. Anyone else where the climbing stream stops all the time?
  8. It's windy.
  9. Great format in the golf results again.
  10. No federation ever helps 'random country X', according to people from 'random country X'
  11. I would already be a fan of alpine skiing and cross-country skiing having a World Cup in Chile and/or Argentina, like snowboarding has. That would be a great start If I'm not mistaken, going from Termas de Chillan (Chile) to Bariloche (Argentina) is a couple of hours driving, not too bad. There's also Portillo in Chile where they have a biathlon range. One with really crappy tracks, but alright
  12. Well, most of the top athletes would probably simply choose to skip several World Cups then, since they'll focus on the Olympics. It'd be a bit weird to never give the Winter Olympics to Chile/Argentina or New Zealand/Australia (or even South Africa) simply because it might be a bit inconvenient in terms of the regular World Cup seasons.
  13. What would be risky about it? If the facilities are there (which at least in the case of Ushuaia - or Bariloche or Termas de Chillan for that matter - is definitely not the case), I don't see the problem. Mt Hotham in Australia should give it a try.
  14. That's awful, but at least the course looks pretty hard.
  15. Serbia Now the Dutch women aren't through yet
  16. 22km So much focus on gender equality and everything and then they give the women a junior distance again...
  17. Watching yesterday's taekwondo semi's...."both throwing a cracking shot, literally rib breakers for both". For fuck's sake.
  18. Of course, the one where the gold is decided by 1kg by the very last lift of the competition is the one that's not shown anywhere
  19. Kolesnikov opening the 4x100 freestyle with 48.04, dear lord That would have placed him 5th and 7th at the (individual) 100 free at the last world champs and Olympics
  20. Those 5 reais sports federations get per year nowadays really makes a difference, yes
  21. Ushuaia would be so cool Basically that'd be home snow advantage for the Brazilians
  22. Dude. Add an event that's made for the youth athletes (monobob), ok, but stay away from the main event of bobsleigh.
  23. I'll see the rest of the swimming, the taekwondo, today's judo and fencing finals, the women's sports climbing combined final (lead) and the weightlifting tomorrow, goodnight
  24. Time for a bit of a Kolesnikov show
