So, it sounds like ASO wants the Tour to start june 25 next year. putting the Grand Depart in Copenhagen between UEFA Euro matches on june 21 and 28. I guess it could be possible as it would have the ITT in Copenhagen on a rest day in the EURO meaning the 2 events won't collide. But the great pictures from Roskilde Festival would be pictures of thousands waiting to enter the camping area

There has been plenty of comments on Covid during the protests as well. The president has a responsibility to keep the people of the nation safe. That includes taking care of them during a pandemic. There's every right to question whether it's smart to be thousands for a protest during a pandemic as well, but I do find protests a better reason for such than political rallies (and I would certainly say the same if it was a democrat getting that terrible idea).

You haven't really been paying much attention if you say nobody talks about COVID when it comes to the protests. But nonetheless I would also say there's a major difference between the president actively gathering a major amount of people knowing very well that the Covid-19 situation is nowhere near over and people gathering to use their 1st amendment rights.

So uhm... I made it! But man that was a tough one! The first half felt pretty decent though a couple of red lights stressed me a bit meaning a couple of periods at a higher pace than planned. But when I started a climb at about 14km it felt very clear that the temperature was getting to me. I "saved" it by changing the last part of the route to the nearby forest to get into the shadows, but that didn't help enough to stay running for the rest. I did try running a few times but I crashed mentally every time after half a km or so. Therefore the time was nowhere near the last one, but I learned a bit about how my body behave on longer distances in the heat and did get to take on the lovely medal with the time 2:09.32 Now it'll be a period of shorter distances before I start preparing for the postponed "real" half in october.

I have a running belt with 2 bottles and am considering running with a third one in my hand that I can throw away when I'm done with it.

Meanwhile tomorrow is half marathon time here. Just below 4000 are registered for either the full distance or "run with me" (11km) with me as no. 89. As I wanted to make a bit more of a thing out of it, the route will be crossing a bit more roads than last time meaning that I may have a few stops due to traffic (as I want to go down to the Stadium that was supposed to be part of the route) while the last 5 km will be similar to the 5km lap that I ran 2 weeks ago. It will be slightly warm meaning that I really have to think about the hydration but otherwise I feel very ready.
