  1. Yes, MeToo has surely been used by some people for personal/political gains. I even know somebody who has been a target for these reasons, but ignoring the positive effects of the movement is just stupidity!
  2. Sure there are. But I guess it'll be patience for now... Meaning 1st episode of Breaking Bad done
  3. How lovely. Just finished season 7 of Homeland yesterday just to find out that I will not be able to watch season 8 for a long time due to tv rights!
  4. Kept it going for 1:47.35 meaning 19.18km. Was a bit too motivated meaning that I went out way too fast (more like a 10km pace than one for double the distance). Managed to keep it going for about 11km after which I started to strugle, meaning somewhat slower speed. Kept fighting until about 16,5km. Then I had to walk for a bit. When I saw that I still had a decent distance to the chasing "car", I gave it a go for a km and then another one. I guess with some better pacing, I could already do a half marathon now. But it'll wait for 1½ month. Now I'm just following my team captain, Camilla Pedersen who has passed the marathon
  5. And it makes things even better using a video from The Scum!
  6. Well. After 2 weeks lacking a bit of motivation, I've now registered for the Wings for Life run to get a good run sunday. I guess my target will be at about 18km, but it'll be all about the motivation. Could be more or less. Anyone else joining?
  7. Suddenly reminded me of when I had the chance of affecting the 2016 election I'm sure the committee of Culture and justice of a Danish youth party was the only missing thing for Clinton to win back then
  8. It seems like there's a pretty high risk that Copenhagen will decline hosting as it will not work out with both The Euro and TDF Grand Depart. This is especially a question of the commercial interests most likely not working together. We'll know by thursday.
  9. But I don't really see me going for Roskilde much more than once or twice more. I would be pretty sad if I ended up with just one participation (and with a summer without anything, I could really be needing a comeback next year
  10. It's just rather interesting that they were ready to do it this year but not in 2021. Can't decide if I'm happy about it or not. Makes it slightly easier for Copenhagen to host both the Euro and the Tour, but now I may have to chose between 3 days of Grand Depart or Roskilde Festival (though they do pass by pretty close to the festival when starting in Roskilde).
  11. Alex Pedersen, director of the Grand Depart of the Tour 2021 tells that the dates of the Grand depart will not be changed (according to ASO). That means that they are still planning a Tour taking place 2nd-25th july, meaning that riders completing the Tour will by all means be out of the Olympics.

  13. I would surely join if it fits into the schedule.
  14. Statisticians speculate that about 1/3 of the population of Stockholm has been infected by may 1st (or maybe already). If it is indeed so, you could start to consider if Sweden isn't gonna end up doing decently in the end, though it could be a question of what research shows about immunity. Antibodytests say 11 % though with some false negatives expected meaning that it should be slightly higher. It was a decently small scale experiment and I don't know about the selection, but still pretty interesting.
  15. Danish zoos will open may 1st and an ammusement park has also stated that they are planning on opening in medio may. Meanwhile a limit for major events that will be shut down until the end of august has been set at 500. This doesn't necessarily mean that smaller events will go forward before, but there is a chance of some opening on that point during may or during the summer. We are also seing a bit more sports opening (outdoor sports with no contact and limited amounts of people. There are also hopes that football will start again in medio May. As a result more top-tier teams are getting their players back from leave to do training in smaller groups.
  16. Well. Preparations are underway for potentially testing everybody with symptoms in Denmark. It will be easy for me as the local testing facilities are just a 15 minutes walk away
  17. More than 4 minutes slower than the walkers PB (Danish Champion Andreas W Nielsen)
  18. As it really isn't that much of a race, they do accept everything, but I do believe they would question it. The best 10km walk is 49:18
  19. What can I say? After 2 tough runs where my legs didn't feel at their best, something just worked today giving me my first sub-50 10k. At the moment I'm no 762 out of 4555 registering their times at the 10k. I'm sure some will register a better time while I would also guess that some people do it wrong making their times better than reality (when the first 5k runners started registering, one did show a new 5km world record for women by about half a minute. I guess it has been deleted or edited by now). About 31.000 registered making it one of the largest running events in Denmark. About half have registered a time by now in one of the 5 events (5, 10 and halfmarathon run and 5 and 10km walk)
  20. I believe it starts at 2 in the night here i Denmark, but maybe I'll see parts of it tomorrow or some other day.
  21. I would really only call no. 5 completely true when it comes to Denmark! We were very quick (and apparently good) at shutting down and thereby stopping the spread, keeping it away from the elder. The preparation was mainly done while the number of cases was very low. It seemed like a lot could have been ready beforehand. Don't get me wrong. I'm sure plenty of countries are less capable of handling a pandemic than Denmark, but in the beginning it did not feel prepared. Almost 70 % of the positive tests in Denmark are people below 60 (one of the main groups tested are people in health care and eldercare and people needing these). Less than 10 % are 80 or above where the death rate is quite a bit higher than the rest. That's the key to the death/recovery rates. And sure that can tell a lot about different strategies, but.. We can do a lot to prevent it, but we cannot completely take luck out of calculation when it comes to recovery rate. That's one of the main reason for the death rates in Sweden, where they haven't done as good a job keeping the them safe (just below 25 % of positive cases in Sweden are 80+). They have slightly lower death rates in 90+ and slightly higher in 80-89 and 70-79. I have no doubt that more testing makes opening up easier
  22. And we have the competition schedule. Only 2 individual races (including the worlds) https://www.biathlonworld.com/news/detail/ibu-announces-competition-schedule-2020-2021 Edit: I'm blind. 3 individual races.
  23. Next race tomorrow where Denmark will be "running together". The people behind the major races in Denmark has joined together to host a major event online. About 20.000 are expected to participate on either 5, 10 or halfmarathon. I'll be going for the 10km, but I don't think it'll be a fast one as my legs are a bit tired (think I'll only do 2 runs next week) and there'll be an online party tonight We'll see how I feel tomorrow. Luckily it's slightly later than the last online race.
  24. It's not like Trump was the first to question numbers from China!
