  1. So. Tomorrow we'll be having the Cup semifinals in Denmark. This will also be the first chance to have spectators at a game. It has been announced that the second semi will have a staggering 278 spectators, of which 28 will be from the visiting side, AGF! This is due to the limits of 500 people which also includes players, officials, journalists and everybody else making the match happen. There will be some negotiations about possibly opening stadiums to more as a test with several teams claiming to be able to have more than 25 % capacity without risk.
  2. Novo Amor has really made some beautiful music!
  3. Qatar Airways and Black Lives Matter. What a magnificent mix!
  4. Now things are going too far!
  5. That's not really just Americans (at least plenty of Danes have been pissed when somebody did so). The funny thing is, in most countries burning the flag is the only "allowed" way to destroy a flag.
  6. Meanwhile Trum's voter registration is turning out to be rather interesting. The president himself making mistakes when it comes to registrating while he is throwing claims of fraud is rather interesting, especially when he has registered in Florida while apparently telling governors that he lives in Manhattan. And meanwhile the White House has compared Trump's staged picture outside St. John's with the pictures of Churchill inspecting the damage during the London Blitz. If it wasn't for the sad situation, it's rather hillarious that a situation following police charging a peaceful protest is compared to Churchill being a symbol of leadership unifying the country.
  7. He does link to a poll showing major support to having more police (though it's 3 years old). It would make it less stressfull and by all means make it more interesting for the good guys. No doubt that training is a lot as well, but it does make sense that it could help.
  8. A pretty interesting point on the situation.
  9. There are in fact quite a lot of those moment. Videos of officers taking a knee with the protesters, holding up signs against police brutality or actively participating in marches. I would guess that all countries have some police officers who joined the police to live out their action hero dreams and end up being way too aggressive in situations, but even the US have plenty of officers who care more about the society than trying to be tough guys. But sadly the ones getting the attention are the ones doing the wrong things (on both sides)
  10. Pretty sure that point was reached before it really started spreading across Europe as well
  11. Or it ends up as a new 1967. Though it's really not that unusual that protests become violent in USA, this one can quickly become more than the small stuff.
  12. I was so damn close to posting a picture of him earlier
  13. Maybe Trump has foreseen the future
  14. The funny thing is that it's maybe a week or so ago that I saw a comment using Gestapo about the state governments keeping the lock-down. So I guess you're right, and that's considering both sides
  15. This doesn't really sound like Gestapo Terrible things happen and there are plenty of reasons to question the police, but there's a long way to Gestapo! https://edition.cnn.com/videos/us/2020/05/29/omar-jimenez-released-minnesota-protests-newday-vpx.cnn
  16. He asks them several times where they want them to go. That's not really unusual in a situation where police don't want them where they are.
  17. So... Went out for what was supposed to be my penultimate distance training pass before the half marathon. The plan was 17-18km with pretty much the setup that I was planning to go with on the 14th (2 bottles of water and 3 isotonic gels) running 2 different loops (1 about 5km and the other 4km). And well... I ended up with this Things really worked out starting at about 2-hour pace and putting on a bit more speed at about 7km and again at 15km (which was when I started considering going the full distance). I did get a bit of problems for the last km or so making me walk the last 400m due to a slightly painful right hamstring. I don't think it's something too bad (it's already better after some good stretches) but didn't want to risk it as I'm still planning to go for it the 14th. Considering that the last 2 days haven't been anything close to the perfect preparation, it may feel even better.
  18. To be fair, it's really not that easy. Calling for special precautions at protests can easily be seen as trying to stop them or make them less effective. At least here in Denmark, most "Covid-rules" don't count when it comes to demonstrations. That did become rather hillarious when a single person entered an area that was closed (due to people gathering there without much social distancing). It was allowed as he had registered it as a demonstration.
  19. Well. This is how we do in Aarhus! And
  20. No doubt. We've already seen some of the anti-lockdown protests help spread the virus. It would be surprising if these are any different.
  21. Haven't listened much to the podcasts, but I do check the site frequently, yeah.
  22. Me too, though Totallympics isn't really the first place I go when it comes to American Football. And I cheer for... Uhm. You know, the ones everybody hates
  23. Man, I'm happy that I live in a country where pretty close to everybody trusts the voting It's truly magnificent seeing Trump being certain that mail-in votes means voter fraud while pretty much everybody around him use it!
