  1. Hosseinkhani got very close, but finally it was JB to get the victory home... meanwhile, second match and second win for Chamizo... very tactical start, but then he took the advantage and never looked back, conceding just a single point in the last 30 seconds to the Korean guy... today Frank looks very focused, he's not taking any risk nor wasting energy in spectacular moves there's no need of...
  2. no comment on UWW website...moreover, Mat 2 continuously rewinds and get back to the beginning of the session...just another "pearl" from them... by the way, easy start for Frank Chamizo (effortless 9-0 against a guy from )...
  3. interesting match between Vakhubov and Torreblanca in the men's -86, with the Cuban winning quite easily (6-2), meanwhile in the same class the Sudanese guy did actually show up, but his bout lasted only a minute and 7 seconds (he lost by superiority 11-0 to )...
  4. typical from her... always at 110%, never a foot on the brakes... and injuries accumulating year after year...at least this isn't the Olympic season...
  5. yeah, I want to see some highlight real stuff from him... and who cares if he's the king of cheaters...in any case, the cleanest of them all is basically a walking pharmacy... so, let's go for a great show anyway...
  6. I know HUN is not a powerhouse in Freestyle, but still...they're having a nightmare start of the home champs... Vereb lost the very first match of the tournament against a Lithuanian (either not a powerhouse in FS) and Molnar (-61kg) has just been destroyed by Diatta...
  7. in the men's -86 the anticipated final is already dead and gone...strong start by Yazdani, but Taylor came back big time in the second round and won by a sound margin (11-6 the final score)... I guess our friend @MHSN is not that happy about how this one went...
  8. and finally, Vlad Larin edges out In by a close score of 7-6 in the last of today's finals... Men's +80kg Gold: Vladislav Larin Silver: In Kyo-Don Bronze: Sun Hongyi & Sajjad Mardani
  9. by the way, how big are those medals???...those guys are risking their neck with those metal bricks...
  10. and there's no 2 without the 3...Alice Bellandi completes the Italian party in Nassau...gold no.3 for us... best judo junior champs ever for Italy...and by far...
  11. easy 15-9 win for Lauren Williams against her Croatian opponent...just another day at the office for her... Women's -67kg Gold: Lauren Williams Silver: Matea Jelic Bronze: Victoria Tamez & Nur Tatar Askari
  12. yesssss! another great Gold medal for Italy... hopefully we won't waste all this talent by keeping these guys for years in the youth/2nd tier competitions...they should start immediately in the main team taking the place of those who failed miserably all season long...
  13. Hosseini is limping badly, but at least he's able to jump on the podium (with a bit of assistence, but still)...
  14. actually it's already underway...and Vermeer won Gold thank to another quick Ippon (1:38 mins this time)...
  15. oh, no...this looks very painful for Hosseini... I hope the injury is not too bad as it looks and he can recover quickly... by the way, because of this, Lee Dae-Hoon wins Gold by opponent's withdrawal... Men's -68kg Gold: Lee Dae-Hoon Silver: Mirhashem Hosseini Bronze: Bradley Sinden & Si Mohamed Ketbi
  16. so, a quick recap of today's Gold Medal matches... men's -68kg Lee Dae-Hoon vs Mirhashem Hosseini women's -67kg Lauren Williams vs Matea Jelic men's +80kg vladislav Larin vs In Kyo-Don
  17. men's +80kg, second semifinal In Kyo-Don b. Sun Hongyi 11-7
  18. men's +80kg, second semifinal Sun Hongyi vs In Kyo-Don
  19. Vladislav Larin b. Sajjad Mardani 15-12
  20. men's +80kg, semifinal #1 Sajjad Mardani vs Vladislav Larin
  21. yeah, I saw that match..amazing... meanwhile this second semi in the women's -67kg was the opposite...really boring... by the way, Matea Jelic won 5-0 against Nur Tatar, so the final will be between Jelic and local hero Lauren Williams...
  22. by the way, very unlucky draw for the only Italian at the start of GB Grand Prix... in the men's -58kg class, Vito Dell'Aquila, in fact, after a guy from Senegal in round #1, should face the no.2 seeded Mikhail Artamonov (RUS) in the second round and, should he make a miracle against the Russian, he would eventually find Hadipour (IRI) or Denisov (RUS) in round #3 before getting even close to the medal stage...
  23. Williams won 25-7 over Tamez
  24. women's -67kg, semifinals Victoria Tamez vs Lauren Williams Matea Jelic vs Nur Tatar Askari
  25. men's -68kg, semifinals Lee Dae-Hoon b. Si Mohamed Ketbi by DSQ (10 kyeongo, but the score was already 30-12 for the Korean)... Mirashem Hosseini b. Bradley Sinden 19-16 (Hosseini was already involved in the match of the day in the quarterfinals against Ahmad Abughaush, when he recovered a fight that nobody thought he could win with less than 20 seconds left)...
