  3. sooner or later, I still hope to find somewhere in the web also the Cadets' results and complete our round-up over these Continental Youth Champs... but for now, this is all what I know... if someone could help me, I'd be very grateful...

  5. frankly, I don't know how reliable are those results... what happened to Egypt for not taking part in 2 different team events?

  7. as I wrote before, it's not my fault...all the Cadets' results are just not available anywhere... meanwhile, in a few minutes I'm going to post all the Junior Teams' results...so, at least we will have a full picture of this age class...
  8. I think we should ask ourselves why we're still here, following all sort of sports? I can only speak for myself...and, as I already wrote in the past, I still like the show, the competition, the action I can find when I watch sport events...just like going to the cinema...nothing more, nothing less... and yes, I can also feel pleasure and get emotional behind some athletes and/or teams winning and/or losing... it's just something "inside me", that I can't even imagine to control and/or stop...I can easily say that I'm addicted to the emotions and the adrenaline that sport gives me most of the times...
  9. Romania has made a subscription to the Bronze Medals...they just ended up in 3rd place in all 3 of today's events...

  13. in the last weekend, the Karate-1 Serie A tournament in Salzburg (AUT) was on stage Japan as usual got the most of the honors out of it, with 3 Gold medals... Croatia and Egypt followed the Asians in the final medal table with 2 Gold medals each... meanwhile France, Germany, Kosovo, Ukraine and Uzbekistan got 1 Gold medal each... Japan (men) and Hong Kong (women) also won 2 additional Gold medals in the Team Kata events, which to me are senseless, because of the very modest participation (in terms of both the number and the quality of the teams involved)... considering the Olympic categories only, instead, Japan got both Individual Kata top placings... the Kumite Gold medals went to CRO (winning both -50 & -55kg classes), FRA (-61kg) and EGY (winning both -68 and +68kg classes) among the girls and UZB+JPN (-60 & -67kg), GER (-75kg) and UKR+KOS (-84 & +84kg) among the boys... full results of this tournament can be found here: https://www.sportdata.org/wkf/set-online/popup_main.php?popup_action=results&vernr=164&active_menu=calendar
  14. and finally, the home heroes got their well deserved triumph in Ft.Lauderdale... however, both final games were very disappointing, one-sided to say the least... men's 5* tournament, final results: 3rd place match: Samoilovs & Smedins (LAT) b. 23. Brazil's Barbara & Fernanda are the winners of the women's 5* major tournament in Fort Lauderdale (Fla, USA)... they won the final match against their teammates Taiana Lima & Carol Horta by a score of 2-0 (21-16, 21-13) among the men, Dalhausser & Lucena, USA won their semifinal match against Samoilovs & Smedins, LAT 2-0 (21-14, 21-12) and will face in the "big final" the Italian Silver medallists from the Rio Games, Nicolai & Lupo, who won their semifinal match against Pedro Solberg & George also by a score of 2-0 (24-22, 25-23)... the 3rd place match is scheduled for today at 5 p.m. CET, the final match is set to start at 7 p.m. CET
  24. pure speed specialist always start in the speed race of the AC just to earn some FIS points (for the lower ranked it's an obvious choice, since AC speed events are normally easier than regular DHs and SGs and have less quality starters...so, it's a lot easier for them to end up in decent position and above all, to contain the margin from the stage winner, which is a key factor to earn more FIS points)... at the same time, they're not interested at all in slalom and AC special points, so they just get back to their hotel room earlier by DNS in the second part of the AC...
  25. yes, all of today's matches (tonight's city of Milan derby included) have been post-poned... official news talk about a heart attack in the middle of the night, while he was sleeping, being the cause of Astori's death... R.I.P.
