  1. how to waste your chances...we were back at -2, then suddenly is once again -6 after 6 assaults out of 9... I don't see how we can get back into this match...
  2. that's epee...on a given day, anything can happen (Spain made the top 4 in Paris world cup stage)...
  3. most waterpolo experts weren't that generous with the Dutch team...
  4. after all controversy in the men's 100m backstroke heats earlier tonight (CET), the semifinals will be swum by 18 swimmers (9 per heat) and not the usual 16...
  5. and if we don't get into the top 4, probably our (already slim) chances to qualify all 6 teams have gone...
  6. yeah, right now they're just joking against a very poor Italian team... they're not even using the individual bronze medallist, Igor Reizlin...
  7. women's team Foil, Quarterfinals France b. Poland 45-39 Italy b. Japan 44-25 Russia b. South Korea 33-25 United States b. Canada 45-41 women's team Foil, Semifinals France vs Italy Russia vs United States
  8. we definitely have a different interpretation of the definition "Millennial"... to me (and I'm not the only one -YT sport climbing broadcasters for sure agree with me), it's just "those born in the year 2000 and later"...
  9. and here's a quick update about Today's Road Cycling Test Event... https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1082422/ready-steady-tokyo-cycling-test-event http://www.cyclingnews.com/races/tokyo-2020-test-event-2019/results/
  10. a few notes about the Surfing Test Event... https://www.olympicchannel.com/en/stories/news/detail/tokyo-2020-surfing-test-event-re-cap-qualification-japan/
  11. I hope not... however, our team is really inconsistent...so, anything can happen... I don't expect much from our Epee guys (these guys), but who knows? it wouldn't be the first time they unexpectedly win global medals...
  12. yeah... however, I saw the project of the renovation works and it looks it will become a wonderful hockey arena in the end...
  13. that's also another reason...together with the local people's refusal to pay more taxes to help financing a completely new project...
  14. because that venue and its iconic roof is considered a monument, a legacy of the World Expo they hosted quite a few years ago (in 1962)... and it's located in a sort of "protected area"... it's just like the San Siro Stadium in Milan...there's a too strong part of the local population that doesn't want to touch a structure that's considered an eternal part of the city landscape...
  15. 2019 Sport Climbing World Cup, Stage #9 (Briançon, FRA) Women's Lead Gold: Seo Chae Hyun Silver: Janja Garnbret Bronze: Natsuki Tanii
  16. the young Korean sensation does it again! and this time beating Queen Janja herself... p.s. at the age of 20, Garnbret last night was the oldest climber in the field in the women's final...the only non "Millennial" (she was born in 1999)...
  17. more than renovated...it's being completely rebuilt...only the old iconic roof will survive after all the works are completed...
  18. I think it's more going down to KOR and the top 4 European teams (RUS, SUI, FRA and ITA) results...if the Koreans get out of the top 4 (and the "big 4" from Europe all make the same top 4 of the WR), then you are still the best remaining European team... difficult? yes... impossible? not at all...especially should KOR tomorrow end up in 5th or 6th place and not better than that (and should ITA beat Ukraine in the quarterfinals and eventually get on the podium)...

  21. rather, great comeback by Kolobova in the last stint, but broken Russian hearts when everybody thought she could land the final hit and instead the Chinese girl surprised her with a flashy attack and finally took the gold medal home... meanwhile, it was really a fantastic match between HUN and KOR in the men's team sabre final...so far, under both a purely technical and the emotional point of view, clearly the highlight of the championship...imho...
  22. luckily Rein is beating by himself, not having enough patience when he still had a minute to manage... now it's too late...even Fichera can't waste 6 hits in 14 seconds...
  23. Fichera must be one of the greatest idiots in the world... how the hell is he giving a chance to a well beaten German team?
  24. men's team Sabre, 5th-16th Placements 5. Russia 6. Iran 7. Georgia 8. Romania 9. France 10. United States 11. China 12. Japan 13. Ukraine 14. Great Britain 15. Canada 16. Egypt
