Qualification Tracker

Test

  1. Well, i think every nation has high hopes for qualifiers Our team is also thinking of 5-6-7 quotas, in like their dreams The thing is that there are so many good names still left, that anything is possible. The reduced quotas has really made these qualifiers a bloodbath... The draw tomorrow will paint a clearer picture.
  2. Freestyle on Thursday, Women on Friday and GR on Saturday. The day sessions are scheduled to be around 5-6 hours, from 10 in the morning to 15-16 in the afternoon.... Oh boy
  3. Final entries count is 458 athletes from 84 countries, which i think is a record number of countries in the Covid era?
  4. The schedule is finally out, about time.. 3 straight days with matches, then 3 days off and so on. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_FIVB_Volleyball_Men's_Nations_League
  5. In the immortal words: "If you don't go crazy, you are not normaaaaal" For all the Balkan people, who will understand what is happening. And for all the rest, Good Luck! Awesome Hungarian crowd by the way!
  6. Would have and should have isn't something that the Academy usually takes into account. Otherwise Al Pacino should be having 3 or 4 Oscars by now. And Streep has been overrated for the past 20 years, heaven forbid, if she chooses "better" movies as well. I agree, that she had big luck for this year in particular. She wasn't even the favourite now, when it was such a weak year. If Nomadland came out last season no way it wins. There are like 6-7 better films from last years nominees. Three Billboards was a great movie though and deserved every award it got. It should have been Best Picture as well... There was no luck there.
  7. I'm actually shocked that there are still people who value the actual craft, than the politics. So well deserved and happy for Sir Anthony Hopkins. He was the whole film, in a truly brilliant performance and one of the few brightest spots in the past year! Yeah, Frances winning a 3rd Oscar is a bit excessive.. She is one of the best actresses of the past 30 years, but still... I think this would be it for her in terms of wins, she could get 1-2 more noms. Sound of Metal winning 2 Oscars is well deserved and for me it was the best film out of all. Guess Nomadland was the next in line and it could pass as a BP winner, though it would be very, very low, if we made a winners ranking. Chloe Zhao also doesn't look like a typical Hollywood nut-job and feels very genuine about her love for movies, so i don't mind her wins.
  8. What they should have done, was to take his win and DQ him...
  9. It's such a joy to watch Pogacar every time Love riders who are capable of winning every race and not prepare(peak) for certain big races and then just use all rest for training. Cycling isn't the sport, where you can make predictions for years ahead, but with his consistency and being only 22, i can see Pogacar dominating for the next 10+ years. His battles with Remco and WVA will define the next decade.
  10. Finally this dragged out season is coming to an end.. The only things worth mentioning are Sir Anthony Hopkins and Sound of Metal and neither of them will win, because you know...
  11. Bilyana Dudova is such a talent, 4-time European Champion now! She should have been World Champion by now as well, if it wasn't for her suicide attempt in 2019. Now she probably won't even go to the Olympics.
  12. Yusein was known for a week now, that she will not compete, as she is injured. I don't know how they kept her in the draw.
  13. Politicians go where the people go. This is like politics 101 When the people have a voice, the politicians have no choice.
  14. A total humiliation for the history books!! Once again it shows how these American tycoons have no idea what football is. You CAN'T buy the sport, this is not your American drivel systems, football is bigger than all of them combined! The leagues will kick your ass, the fans will kick your ass, the Governments will kick your ass.
  15. I'm sure the Italian fans will be "devastated" that the whole 4 Italian players in Juventus, Inter and Milan combined won't be there. The Euro will be a success with or without them. Players have been coming and going for 150 years. These Primadonas of the last 10 years need a rude awakening to be brought down to Earth. I'll be forever grateful to have grown and watched the 90s and 2000s players, their unique charisma, passion, dedication to the game and have witnessed some of the most amazing matches and moments. I'm sad for the kids that have grown with this social media age and what this sport has become..
  16. That's exactly what they want, they don't want the vast millions they are getting, they want the billions... They don't want to share the money with anyone else, just greedy f*****s. This bulshit closed US system should never happen in football, because it will be the detriment to 45+ leagues and countries. The money those countries are getting from FIFA/UEFA will be substantially lower. I mean, it is already low compared to what the big guns are getting, but after this it will be peanuts.. The exact same thing destroyed European basketball 20 years ago and now there are only some closed "franchises" and amateur leagues pretty much everywhere..
  17. Ban them and throw away the key! Fans should block the stadiums and don't let them play and train!
  18. Yes, those people are called gloryhunters and come from your Asian/US markets. I'm sure they would be ecstatic about the idea, since they care only about the shiny package. Too bad they don't have the power real football fans have. I think you are underestimating what the fans of those clubs really want. From the stuff i've seen in the last few hours, everyone is against the Superleague and when you have those fierce english rivals unite, it says a lot for me. Let's see how far you can go, when your home fans boycott you. If those clubs think this last year was tough, they better be prepared. As for the broadcasters, i don't know what the situation is in Hungary, but here, our God-awful domestic clubs and league still has the biggest ratings, even if they also show another 10 top Leagues. The notion that fans only want to watch 10 clubs, who play each other a gazillion times is very deceiving. If you are having at the same time a Conference League match Levski Sofia - Fehervar and a CL one Liverpool - Inter Milan, there is no doubt that the Levski match will be the more watched one.
  19. The biggest scandal in sports is boiling. Various medias are reporting that 12 of the richest clubs have agreed to the Superleague and it will be unveiled tomorrow! Those in question are: Juventus, Inter, Milan Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid Chelsea, Man. U, Man. C, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham German and French teams have rejected the idea. FIFA/UEFA came out with a big statement, that any club and their players who take part in such a coup will be thrown out and banned from any International, National and National Team competitions and lawsuits for 50 billion will follow. I hope they do go and ban them all. I am sick and tired of the rich getting richer and all the kneeling that has been done to them in the last 15 years. But their greed is endless.. Case point yet again, was the new CL format that was going to be voted, which shockingly benefits only the biggest clubs and would introduce the Wild Cards, if you fumble in the domestic league.. This thing ruined basketball in Europe and i thought football was way bigger to happen to it, but here we are. I hope they go further and have every Broadcaster that buys the Superleague to never have any other football rights given to them.
  20. When are they going to rename this the F1 Safety Car World Championship?
  21. Quartararo started last year with the wins as well, and we know how that ended. And gets points down for the stupid Ronaldo celebration... Bagnaia with his best race this year, while Mir does, well what Mir does best, ranking the consistent points race after race.
  22. And now Zarco falls, what the heck is going on.
  23. Definitely was over excited at the beginning Some close calls and shaky turns, which i think led to him taking a step back. And Rins just throws away the podium..., while Bagnaia makes the best climb so far!
  24. The return of Marc Marquez. Let's see, if he has lost a step, or should i say, if the others have gotten better than before.
  25. Almost a month is left before the start of the Nations League and we still don't have the schedule. It's a round-robin, all 16 teams are known, it's going to be in one location, what are these people waiting for? A computer can make the draw for 5 minutes..
