    Universality places are not awarded in Combined events, 10,000 m or Steeplechase. Also if you click on the athletes name you will see she has never done a hepthatlon. The place was probably awarded for 100m.

    There’s definitely a French girl above O’Connor who is definitely out for the year. She needs one more withdrawal.

    They can’t surely add them after next weekend.? Athletes will be trying their utmost to earn ranking points and then to find the lose a spot after all events are over? That would not be fair. Also some countries won’t bother nominating anybody in Athletics

    Still sticking to my argument that the documents states ‘The 18 highest placed athletes at 2021 World Cup will each receive one quota place.’

    Athletic wildcards are not tripartite. Every nation is entitled to one quota in Athletics regardless of how many they have in other sports. Same with Swimming

    Same with Ireland. Three now outside rankings and three more right on the edge. Very unfair to athletes to drop this on them with a week to go.

    Sanita is competing that day so she is out. I’d go for Analise Murphy and Cian O’Connor...both former medalists.

    Well Horse Sport Ireland need to explain themselves first and then Team Ireland and the sports Council need to get involved. It’s spitting in the eyes of the riders that qualified if we don’t finish last.

    have officially withdrawn their dressage team. Unable to put a team together due to retirements, injury and medical reason. They will accept a reallocated individual quota if offered.

    But that's only if one looks at the Olympics as a stand alone tow week tournament. Nowadays the Olympics are a two year competition culminating in a two week finals tournament. Everyone gets the chance to qualify and be it at rankings. qualifying competitions or their own countries trials.

    I can see us winning three medals in Rowing but cannot see any more than 3 in Boxing. All depends on the draw in boxing.

    They probably don’t even want to in fairness. It’s just me feeling that it’s a shame our best shooter is left at home.

    No reallocations have been awarded in women’s Trap. Maybe there were no available candidates. In that case could decline the men’s quota and be awarded the women’s? Although I may be unfair on Ian O’Sullivan who could also get the quota.

    Yeah. Very tough luck though for Aoife Gormally if that's the case.

    Our Male Trap Shooter is 52 and has competed at 4 previous Olympiad. Our Female Trap shooter is ranked in Top 20 and was 7th at Recent European Championship. Would be very silly for us to accept this.
