Too bad she fell on the last lap in the last race (as well as Karlsson also did x2).
 
For the future I would really like them to remove the bonus sprint points suring the race that almost makes more importance to the overall standings than the positions over the finish line.
And get back to the same point system as the other FIS events. 30 gets points instead on 50, and 100-80-60... instead of this system.
in this case Diggins deserves it and Sweden who of different reasons have missed pets of the season On purpose or not, does not deserve it. But it as it is now it may take 20 wins to catch up for one missed race (if the opponent is 2nd in each).
Dahlqvist won the sprint cup without any individual wins (3rd overall) is one example of that. 
 
There must be room to miss a race of any reason. If not, it Will not make people race more events, instead it might make skoters who already missed one weekend feel they are already too far behind so they light as well take less priority on the rest of the World cup season. Also skiiers who in Norway for example would be good enough for a top3 in the overall might not even be selected for many races due to the internal competition. Same for a skiier like Ebba Andersson who most likely would not qualify if she would be selected to go a sprint race. But she would still get a few points probably for rk 31-50, but because she would not make it in to the Swedish sprint team she Will lose a lot even compared to those who fail the sprint qualifications. Frida Karlsson another example, she would also probably have qualified most of the times but is most often not good enough to make the team.
With more award to winning and making podiums and also less athletes scoring that would make it better I think. The scoring system in biathlon got some critics when they decided you have to count all races, but they at least increased the value of top positions meaning you could faster catch up a bad race/missed race, by a few podiums.

Gabriel Gledhill (GBR) who was seen drafting behind Diggins during the race apparantly was drunk under the race as he accepted 10-12 beers and 5-6 shots from the attendees besides the course.

I think our main problem is that most swedes have difficulties with the altitude. Ponsilouma one of few exceptions. Elvira Öberg and Sebastian Samuelsson in particular have shown this many times. Sebastians 5th place in sprint was by far his best performance ever in Antholz as an example.
 
Öbergs skipped Nove mesto to get some extra time on altitude agerad of the games but even that didnt help. 
 
then another factor is also that we bad skis in many (not all) races as well which  was surprising because usually I think we have a much better wax team in biathlon than XC but not in the olympics.

Also Hanna would have won the globe if her sister didn't win today 😅

I think the weather gods missed out on the news about Stockholm losing this voting because Stockholm  had the best winter weather for many years during the last weeks, just for it to melt away immediately after the closing ceremony

* Single mixed relay instead of regular mixed relay. If you want a third relay, let's have one with a different format. Two teams per country

* Drop that Monobob nonsense. It's ok, if we don't have the exact same number of events between males and females. Two teams per country (sorry Germany), push for standardized bobsleighs in two-woman and two-men.
 
Cross-country skiing (12 -> 14)
 
 
* Have both free and classical sprint events
* Make sure you have real sprint courses, and no Klaebo-sprint courses
 
 
Curling (3)
 
*As a pure two-weeks-every-four-years curling guy, I prefer the mixed format over the longest one, but I assume purists will disagree, so it's ok 
 
Figure skating (5 -> 4)
 
*Drop the team event or come with something better. As it stands, it's too much artificial.
 
Freestyle skiing (15 -> 13)
 
 
* Remove aerials altogether. It was ok to have gymnasts doing crazy stuff on air for a time, but with the inclusion of other crazy stuff from actual skiers, it became pointless
* Keep dual moguls, but tweak it so that speed becomes way more prevalent
* Add mixed skicross event

Today Ebba could have afford to break her ski and make a vault like in the relay. and still win. And maybe 4 times and still medal😄

also Tirinzoni/Pätz have struggled a lot in there olympic history so well deserved that they also have a medal now

It feels right that Shiffrin has two Olympic golds in slalom, being far and away the greatest of all time in this discipline.

(And she's 100% right, this slope just does not sui slalom at all; the one they used for the 2021 WCh was miles better)

Sweden has actually improved now. 12-19 in shots. It was like 13-2 before. 
Not that I think they would have been able to win anyway but if they had been in group A they would have had some practice games on this level and not getting this chock from after only playing the B-teams

Too young to remember him jumping but I have actually talked to him a few times. But not about ski jumping. He is playing curling recreationallly at my club. Didn't understand what legend he was the first time 😂
