  1. Are they the only 2 or are there more to be announced?
  2. You are right, my mistake again. Both the above lists have now been updated.
  3. I'm just wondering, since you think Israel should be banned do you think that Palestine should be banned also for the horrible things they've done to Israel?
  4. No you are right, the way you interpret it is correct. By the way since your new here, feel free to correct me whenever I've said or interpreted something factually wrong. I'm not very good at interpreting things and often do so wrong.
  5. I'm currently in the process of creating a list which estimates how many OCT quotas will be available and which athletes are eligible for them.
  6. Oh right, so they can still be entered then?
  7. The days before the opening ceremony are classed as minus days, so in a way they're not "official" Olympic days. Therefore they wouldn't count towards this.
  8. That's not the case. In point 2 of the OCT section of this document https://www.worldaquatics.com/competitions/paris-2024-swimming-info it states that any athlete who has achieved an OCT but also an OQT in another event will have their place reallocated to the next fastest OCT in that athletes OCT event. The only exception I believe to the OQT and OCT rules is that an athlete who has achieved an OCT time can enter an event that their NOC already has 1 or 2 OQT for if said NOC rejects all OQT places achieved. E.g. Joe Litchfield will be able to compete in the Men's 100m Fly in Paris despite not having the OQT because will reject Peters and Gammon's OQT quotas before the OCT and universality quotas are awarded.
  9. There are also 15 Universality Quotas up for grabs across all weight classes. Following the scenarios above, here are the reallocations for both scenarios in order (I expect at most 7 or 8 to to be reallocated): First Scenario: Ana Viktorija Puljiz (Women's -52kg) Telma Monteiro (Women's -57kg) Mina Lebber (Women's -57kg) Aleksandra Kaleta (Women's -52kg) Ida Eriksson (Women's -70kg) Anton Savytskiy (Men's -100kg) Lachlan Moorhead (Men's -81kg) Medickson Del Orbe Cotorreal (Men's -81kg) Enej Marinic (Men's +100kg) k Maria Siderot (Women's -52kg) Bold Gankhaich (Women's -63kg) Arleta Podolak (Women's -57kg) Mykhailo Svidrak (Men's -81kg) George Udsilauri (Men's -100kg) Sami Chouchi (Men's -90kg) Second Scenario: Magdiel Estrada (Men's -73kg) Lachlan Moorhead (Men's -81kg) Muhammed Demiral (Men's -66kg) Medickson Del Orbe Cotorreal (Men's -81kg) Maria Siderot (Women's -52kg) Bold Gankhaich (Women's -63kg) Arleta Podolak (Women's -57kg) Mykhailo Svidrak (Men's -81kg) George Udsilauri (Men's -100kg) Sami Chouchi (Men's -90kg) Sarai Padilla Guerrero (Women's -63kg) Luana Carvahlo (Women's -70kg) Aurelien Bonferroni (Men's -73kg) Adam Kopecky (Men's -73kg) Yevheniy Balyevskyy (Men's +100kg)
  10. Based on what @Adriano and @phelps have said, here are 2 other perspectives of how the Russian quotas could be reallocated: If the quotas are reallocated via direct rankings: Women's -48kg: Sabina Giliazova reallocated to Tamar Malca Women's -52kg: DNQ Women's -57kg: Daria Kurbonmamadova reallocated to Shukurjon Aminova Women's -63kg: Dali Liluashvili reallocated to Krystyna Homan (Continental Quota - Women's +78kg) Women's -70kg: Madina Taimazova reallocated to Tais Pina Women's -78kg: DNQ Women's +78kg: Elis Startseva reallocated to Moira Morillo Men's -60kg: Ramazan Abdulaev reallocated to Andrea Carlino Men's -66kg: Murad Chopanov reallocated to Muhammed Demiral Men's -73kg: Makhmadbek Makhmadbekov reallocated to Magdiel Estrada Men's -81kg: Timur Arbuzov reallocated to Achraf Moutti Men's -90kg: Mikhail Igolnikov reallocated to Eduard Trippel Men's -100kg: Matvey Kanikovsky reallocated to Zsombor Veg Men's +100kg: Inal Tasoev reallocated to Enej Marinic If the quotas are reallocated the same way the returned quotas are then the following 12 athletes would replace the 12 : Achraf Moutti (Men's -81kg) Ida Eriksson (Women's -70kg) Eduard Trippel (Men's -90kg) Zsombor Veg (Men's -100kg) Tamar Malca (Women's -48kg) Ana Viktorija Puljiz (Women's -52kg) Aleksandra Kaleta (Women's -52kg) Shukurjon Aminova (Women's -57kg) Telma Monteiro (Women's -57kg) Mina Lebber (Women's -57kg) Tais Pina (Women's -70kg) Anton Savytskiy (Men's -100kg)
  11. I interpret it differently, but either way both ways sort of work. Once I get back from darts I post the reallocation the way you describe it, that way we have the simple and complicated ways. Will be in a couple hours though.
  12. Based off the qualification document, final places are confirmed on 2nd July with reallocations taking place before that date if possible. The qualification period may have ended on 23rd, but that doesn't mean all the athletes qualified on there will go to the games. The NOC's in question will know this and will only be able to provisionally qualify their athletes.
  13. The rankings I used for qualifications were the updated Olympic rankings on the IJF website from the 23rd June (end of quali period). The qualification document says that in the event of reallocation the direct rankings take precedence over the continental quotas. This meant that some Continental qualifiers earned a spot via the direct rankings, meaning their continental quota had to be reallocated. The reason why and lost their continental quotas is because and had reserve Continental qualifiers that made the cut but in the opposite gender. This means that Women's Europe had one too many qualifiers compared to Men's Europe and Men's Africa had one too many qualifiers compared to Women's Africa. The list is only finalised on NOC confirmation on 2nd July, meaning these reallocations would be valid.
  14. You are right, my mistake. That means this is now the following for Men's +100kg Inal Tasoev reallocated to Mbagnick Ndiaye reallocated to Adberahmane Dioa (Continental Quota - Men's -90kg)
  15. As it stands, I believe these are the reallocations: Women's -48kg: Sabina Giliazova reallocated to Katharina Menz reallocated to Ana Viktorija Puljiz (Reallocation Returned Continental Quota - Women's -52kg) Women's -52kg: DNQ Women's -57 kg: Daria Kurbonmamadova reallocated to Shukurjon Aminova Women's -63kg: Dali Liluashvili reallocated to Laerke Olsen (Continental Quota - Women's -70kg) Women's -70kg: Madina Taimazova reallocated to Tais Pina Women's -78kg: DNQ Women's +78kg: Elis Startseva reallocated to Sarra Mzougui reallocated to Koussay Ben Ghares (Continental Quota - Men's -100kg) Men's -60kg: Amazan Abdulaev reallocated to Tsgot-Ochir Byambajav Men's -66kg: Murad Chopanov reallocated to Abderrahmane Boushita reallocated to Achraf Moutti (Continental Quota - Men's -81kg) Men's -73kg: Makhmadbek Makhmadbekov reallocated to Igor Wandkte reallocated to Telma Monteiro (Reallocation Returned Continental Quota - Women's -57kg) Men's -81kg: Timur Arbuzov reallocated to Attila Ungvari reallocated to Zsombor Veg (Continental Quota - Men's -100kg) Men's -90kg: Mikhail Igolnikov reallocated to David Klammert reallocated to Anton Savytskiy (Continental Quota - Men's -100kg) Men's -100kg: Matvey Kanikovsky reallocated to Toma Nikiforov reallocated to Mina Lebber (Continental Quota - Women's -57kg) Men's +100kg: Inal Tasoev reallocated to Munir Ertug The following athletes lose their continental quotas due to reallocations: Valentin Houinato (Men's -81kg) Savita Russo (Women's -63kg) The following athletes will gain a continental quota due to reallocations: Enej Marinic (Men's +100kg) Demos Memneloum (Women's -70kg)
  16. Most Italians probably support Israel, so if anything they'll be happy to share a boat with eachother.
  17. Hate the idea of countries sharing boats, it takes away the fifteen seconds of fame smaller nations get at the opening ceremony. Going by what's been said, we'll either be in a boat on our own or have to squeeze 10 athletes on board in the corner.
  18. Unless something's changed since last year when I'm ready up on it, from 2026 (after the Winter Olympics) Eurosport is changing into TNT. Whether that means it becomes apart of the TNT package or just changes it's name I'm not sure.
  19. Wonder what's gonna happen in 2028 when Eurosport turns into TNT, will everyone then have to pay TNT prices to gain access to every sport?
  20. You are right about the sport dying out. Whilst the NRL are playing season openers in America we're struggling to even get a TV contract for next season. However, I think if 9s were to get in for 2032 then it would give the sport the global boost it so desperately needed. The smaller team sizes actually suits League better, as the players are used to being creative during attacking plays and the reduction in team sizes would allow them to be even more creatives - which creates a more pleasant and enjoyable viewing experience. Quotas should be a problem as 12 teams each should be sufficient, although if Netball gets added then a men's tournament may only be needed. If the IRL had any brains then after the next world cup, whenever that may be, then they should focus a good chunk of their resources developing the 9s game so that there's a foundation is there for 2028 when the sports are decided as the global reach 9s would get at the games could be the sole thing that prevents the sport from becoming extinct. Also in terms of the crowd, because of how similar 13s is to 9s, fans would treat it like the world cup (if promoted and marketed correctly of course).
  21. Sky subscribers also get Discovery+ free for 12 months as long as you create your account through Sky TV.
  22. The person in my profile is Jose De Sousa. He's a bit of a maverick who's famous for his insane miscounts, finishes and busts, with his most famous one being 3 Double 20s to take out 120 which caused one of the commentators to lose his voice which prevented him from commentating for the remaining 2 days of the tournament. His biggest achievement is winning the 2020 Grand Slam Of Darts which is one of the major tournaments in darts each year. I do play darts myself though, but only locally.
  23. Yes the international game is a mess right now with the IRL destroying the World Cup and the finances not being there, but if it were to be invited into the games in 2032 I think it'd be more successful than Sevens. You'd be able to do a 12-16 team tournament fairly comfortably with the following countries: Men: GB, New Zealand, Fiji, Australia, Samoa, Tonga, Lebanon, Ireland, South Africa, Jamaica, France, Papua New Guinea (Italy, Cook Islands, Serbia and Greece if 16) Women: GB, New Zealand, Australia, Cook Islands, Papua New Guinea, France, Ireland, Canada, Brazil, Kenya, Greece, Philippines (Serbia, Tonga, Italy and Malta if 16) The 13s players would be able to transfer easily over to 9s with the games being similar and the attendances would be higher as people have more of an appetite for League than they do Sevens. Also, at least League allows for creativity in attacking plays unlike Union which is basically just pass, hit, ruck repeat before having a kick-off and only kicking penalties for the whole match. One of the reasons why I hate watching Union, even though I'm a big rugby fan.
  24. This is why I think the switch to 9s is needed. Simpler rules, quicker pace, more tries, better quality of players as all the top RL players would play in it and better attendances as RL has way better attendances at international matches than Sevens. Schedule won't be an issue either as the SL and NRL seasons could be started a couple weeks earlier to accommodate for the games, with the qualifiers either being held during one of the international breaks or when the season has finished.
  25. Well that's 50 minutes of Wimbledon Qualifying I won't be getting back. This whole argument is baffling and stupid. It's clear that I was just using Australia and Fiji as examples, yet you're complaining because I didn't use your precious All Blacks (who I know are a top team anyway) as one of the examples. Furthermore, you seem to think everyone here has it in for NZ and are picking fights with everyone who comments on an event that NZ could medal in, which I find really weird and bizarre. I probably should've just ignored you like I do with old misery guts, but stupidly I didn't.
