U sve četiri kvalifikacione grupe naći će se bar po jedan autsajder i realno ni jedna od evropskih selekcija neće imati problema da se kvalifikuje. Potencijalna mina je grupa u kojoj će igrati Japanke koje svakako nisu kapacitet za neki ozbiljan rezultat i ako se tu potrefe tri jaka tima biće zeznuto. Amerikanke će u svojoj grupi svakako biti prve. Znači učestvuju po 4 tima iz Panamerike i Azije, 2 iz Afrike i 6 iz Evrope. Kakav god da bude žreb ne bi trebalo biti problema sa kvalifikacijom. Treba postojati i interes sa suprotne strane. Realno Mađarska ništa ne bi dobila od Silađija ili Turska od Amele. Ali će zato Mađarska mnogo da dobije od Saba, baš kao što su dobili od Janjićke, ili Turska od Turkoglua i Turkčana. A i sve zavisi od toga gde je ko rođen i kako je odgojen. Mađari sa severa su generalno mnogo privrđeniji matici od onih sa juga Vojvodine, ili onih koji žive po velikim gradovima (NS, Pančevo, BG, Zrenjanin). Ja uvek polazim od nas u RS, ovamo niko od Srba ne doživljava BiH kao svoju zemlju (isti slučaj je i sa Hrvatima po Hercegovini) i da sam neki sportista ili šta već, teško da bi mi palo na pamet da se takmičim pod zastavom BiH.

Ovo je bilo apsolutno očekivana odluka sa njegove strane. Prvo, čovek je Mađar i nekako je logično da mu je Mađarska prvi izbor (kao što je i nama iz RS SRB prvi izbor). Drugo, naš plivački savez ne radi apsolutno ništa, o plivanju apsolutno niko ne brine, dok je u Mađarskoj to jedan od najcenjenijih sportova, plivači imaju statuse super zvezda i odlično zarađuju od toga. Čavić da je ostao da pliva za Ameriku moga je imati bar još nekoliko svetskih i olimpijskih medalja, a u Srbiji mu je glavna briga bila kako da skupi pare za neki nastup. Izgubili smo sportistu koji je kapacitet za olimpijske medalje, i nikoga u Savezu ne boli k za to. Žalosno. Uzeće oni verovatno lepu svotu za njegovu dozvolu za nastup na OI
