Jitu Rai of India just missed the cut for the finals of the 10m Air Pistol. Absolutely gutted for him.

Jitu Rai shot brilliantly in the 10m Air Pistol but just gave in to pressure at the end. He needed a 10 off his final shot to qualify for the final but he managed 9 and finished just outside the top 8 at 9th. Lost out due to shooting lesser bulls eyes. Heartbreaking!

Manavjit Singh Sandhu tied 2nd after 2 days of qualification. Hope he can hold his own for the next 2 series tomorrow and qualify for the finals

With this his chances to qualify for the World Championship have shrunk to 0 as Karjakin and Caruana are both 0.5 points ahead and play each other in the final round tomorrow. Even if Anand with black pieces manages to beat Peter Svidler (another Russian, like Karjakin.
