  1. I watched the semi-finals of the diving trials. The men's 3m is going to be fascinating later today - Imbeau-Dulac is the most consistent, Fofana has the biggest highs and lowest lows and Ciprick is a bit inconsistent as well.
  2. I feel like this is a bit of a disappointment compared to what it could have been but you with covid restrictions, the delay and some injuries I think we came out ok in the end. There does seem to be a lot of development and potential for the next 3 years.
  3. That's tough to hear about McKay - I hope she is well enough to compete in synchro.
  4. Bingham wasn't on my radar so that's great!
  5. I think Noelle Montcalm did enough to get in a ranking position.
  6. This implies that they will be paired together but its vague enough that it could change later. https://olympic.ca/2021/06/29/six-team-canada-tennis-stars-ready-to-serve-at-tokyo-2020/
  7. I'm curious about the Mixed Doubles possibilities too but the qualification system makes my head hurt so I can't figure that out.
  8. So it is Dabrowski and Finchman.
  9. For Canada - Brian Yang (Badminton), Josh Liendo and Finlay Knox (Swimming).
  10. Oh i misread the schedule - weird, I wouldn't have bothered with the 4x100m for women but hopefully its of value.
  11. It looks like it got moved around in the schedule.
  12. @intorontodo you know what other team Canada teams are announcing their athletes this week? I feel like there's probably more announcements to drop soon.
  13. I mean its a bit strange that the qualification date ends on the day before the last day of the month, but that should be filtered down to the athletes.
  14. Is that what happened? I'm watching on youtube with Spanish commentary and I was just generally confused. EDIT: I think there is one more game to go.
  15. Tuesday is going to be intense. It did sound from the post event interview with Jordan Young that the Discus was being held on Tuesday. Maybe they’ve added it in or maybe I’m mis remembering.
  16. The conditions have been an issue all weekend - I hope that the meet on Tuesday goes better for some of these athletes on the bubble.
  17. I didn't see the race but Bishop-Ngriau is really good at peaking at the big events. Hopefully she's on that trajectory again.
  18. Would swimming Canada bring them now that they announced the team?
  19. Kierra Smith has the A standard in the 100m breaststroke. She could do the individual event as well.
  20. Byron McDonald said on the commentary to expect a team that could be as high as 23 or 24 swimmers to be announced likely tomorrow but maybe later tonight. I really do hope that in events where a Canadian didn't hit the A standard but are younger and a possibility for future world championships or Olympics are part of the team.
  21. They must be bringing more than 20. It seems like a bit of a missed opportunity to not bring some of the Fina B qualifiers, especially the young ones like Eric Brown.
  22. She was just out done by Colin Gagné's family patio party.
  23. I kinda think she realized she wasn't going to be on the top of her form this meet and decided to go out with the win with the 200m Fly. It sounds like she may retire soon.
  24. It looks like there is 107 divers who qualified individually and 136 total quotas. There's not going to be 29 divers who are only competing in synchro, right?
  25. So it looks like Summer McIntosh isn’t on the start sheet for the 1500 tomorrow anymore. My guess is that Titley doesn’t want to over work her at the Olympics. And her winning the 200 free was probably not part of the Original plan. I suppose we’ll find out when they announce the team tomorrow but I fully expect her to be named for the 400 free and not the 1500m.
