  1. Much closer than expected. With Mayer in last position instead of Haase Germany wins the gold medal here.
  2. Like i said, he wants to save the world record for when he gets money for breaking it.
  3. I am a bit sad for the polish guy. He was never the biggest talent, but he worked his way up there and now when Lavillenie seems to become beatable, 2 completely new guys show up and spoil it for him. I am sure that he will continue to work very hard, but i have a very hard time to see him reaching the level Duplantis, Morgunov currently have. Duplantis was known as monster talent for many years now, but Morgunovs progression is more than surprising to be honest.
  4. No, otherwise Lavillenie wouldnt have looked as hopeless as he did just now. Duplantis is the biggest pole vault talent ever and will do things that noone thought were possible. He redefines this event just like for example Isinbayeva did on the womens side. Lets just hope that he wont be quite as dominant as she was.
  5. I dont think so. Will he get any money if he jumps world record tonight? He might safe it for the diamond league final. Imagine future pole vaulters looking at the junior world record ... i think before this year it was at 5.80 m or so for ten years. I think Duplantis could do the same to the senior world record, maybe when he ends his career it will be at 6.30 m or more.
  6. I cant believe it, this is the best competition i ever witnessed? Thanks to everyone! Holzdeppe must seriously think about what to do, he is lightyears away from this level, he has to change everything now if he wants to be competitive again.
  7. How so? Those events had at least a great mark for 1st place, in mens triple jump everyone has been shit so far.
  8. 4th gold for Norway incoming? Really great improvements by norwegian athletics recently.
  9. Only? What did you expect?
  10. Noone jumped over 17 m in the triple jump after 3 rounds ...
  11. Nope, his time has come. Grandpa is done, you can stick the fork in him.
  12. Duplantis, Bahta, Aregawi ... Sweden has some talents (Kramer, Stahl), they can stop using "foreign" athletes.
  13. Like i said before ...
  14. The end of Lavillenie has come, from now on he will never win a gold medal again.
  15. Morgunov too. The polish guy probably will never win a gold medal.
  16. Salpeter with a very nice progression over the last year. PB in 2017: 16:12.51 as a 29 year old PB in 2018: 15:01.00 as a 30 year old Hallelujah, miracles still exist!
  17. Silver for Klosterhalfen! Sad that she was way off her best, but i am hopeful that she gets back to her best if she stays injury free next year.
  18. Gold for Duplantis? Is he the only one who can stop Poland from winning the version of the medal table currently used to determine the best nations at the olympics?
  19. Most ... you have obviously never been to certain areas of Berlin ... Do we actually have any proof that Ennaoui moved to Poland when she was 2 years old. Maybe she was actually 25 when she moved to Poland and the authorities tried to hide it to allow her to compete at junior level?
  20. The 13th best athlete from qualification will come in obviously ...
  21. I think GB currently is at 5 golds, so they will likely end with 7 golds just like Poland, currently both have the same number of silvers, so it will probably come down to which nation wins more silver medals.
  22. A "foreign" athlete being used as mascot? Seems a bit patronizing to me ...
  23. I doubt that she wrote this herself. How do we even know that she knows how to write polish? Maybe someone else wrote it for her just like it was the case with Mesut Özil's recent instagram posts?
  24. So? Who cares? You dont know how all the other "foreign" athletes competing for other countries feel, but you still think you can judge them. I wrote this comment to show some polish guys on here how annoying their behavior is, but apparently even something that obvious can get lost on people if they live in their own world.
