  1. Kazakhstan can decide whether cancel or postpone it at the end of March. Things change rapidly. If the outbreak is still severe that time, they can ban China just like what the Philippines did right now. China don't care that much because it's not Olympic related.
  2. Personally I think IJF proposal might not work out, because it add some athletes to this sport, other sports association and Tokyo would be against it. If the uncertain water polo issue not included, China hasn't been banned from any qualifiers yet( just withdraw some tournaments) . Most Chinese athletes keep training overseas right now to meet the quarantine time requirement. Chinese athletes don't want free quotas but fair competition environment without prejudice.
  3. China state-run media says China will not participate Asian Championship in India but will compete the Olympic qualifier. I think it means India rejected China and the qualifier will not be held in India.
  4. Until now only some influential media report it and no official confirmation yet. I can't believe it either. It's quite understandable no other asian countries are willing to host it because only China and Kazakhstan are capable to get the quota. No one wants to be the host country with no hope for quota.
  5. So sad Chinese guys lost the opportunity to compete the quota, they kept training in Europe all for a long time to prepare the qualifier and turn out lost it in a so dramatic way
  6. Both Chinese men and women national team are currently training in Montenegro, Men's team kept training in Spain for a long time before Montenegro and Women's team went there from China at the end of January. Even the event is not suspended, the quarantine time should be still enough. I hope China men's team could win the asian quota because they are the last and only hope of the collective ball games.
  7. 2032 is still a long time to go, lots of things may change. I think Summer Olympic will make Indonesia more open-minded, also it is a good stimulation for Indonesia both economically and geopolitically. Indonesia definitely has its potential to be a major economy in 15-20 years. The living standard, people's income and city skyline of Beijing is totally different from 1996 to 2008. Jakarta could repeat its story i think.
  8. Nothing updated since then and he can't participate the tournaments as independent player. But there is a 'but', if he and his partner are still eligible for Olympic after the deadline, Korean association will reconsider this issue. I think that is a pass card. On the other hand, this issue originated from the sponsorship conflicts, if he solves this anytime, then the suspension will end.
  9. From official Chinese immigration source, Indonesia banned Chinese nationals from 5th February. But still a long time to go for Indonesia tournament, situation may change. As Momota quits the following games, it would be a perfect opportunity for Shi Yuqi and other players to earn points. Shi needs it badly.
  10. For Men's Group and Women's Group yes. For Mix group(Sudirman Cup) the answer is No. It's men single/double, women single/double and mix double. 2 singles and 3 doubles.
  11. Too many points there, China definitely won't give up All England unless GB immigration officially announce travel ban for Chinese, otherwise they can stay in Germany after that tournament to ensure safety. What I really worry is not the European tournaments but those in Indonesia and Malaysia.
  12. China media says Team China confirm they will withdraw from Austria and Spain, but will compete Germany and All England. To prevent the coronavirus, they will keep practicing in Europe this period and no plan back to China after tournaments. Another unfortunate news from Japan media, Momota may not participate any games before Olympics. He need rest for at least 3 months for the surgery and return to national team at June. And then he may play Olympics directly.
  13. After this stage the situation became very messy with lots of possibilities and combinations. I thought CHN would grab the asian quota for granted before this, it turned KOR won the gold medal and JPN also got a good result. What I can pray right now is that KOR reach top 4 after last stage and CHN defeat JPN. The good news is the lowest points for KOR and CHN are both 8, but UKR 23 and JPN 25.
  14. As far as I know, China has been barred from USA, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the Philippines officially, and maybe also some other small countries without official notification, but I don't think Europe was included. Currently many Chinese athletes playing tournaments and practicing as main field there. Do you have any source to confirm? If so, it would be a nightmare.
  15. Very sad news for Hong Kong, hope China and Hong Kong officials would make things work out, there still a lot of tournaments in south east asia in coming two months, very crucial timing to earn points.
  16. I like him very much especially his stunning forehand, but so sad his career is full of up and downs. Injuries almost occur during his whole career. He could have much more achievements if stay healthy. Hope he will recover soon.
  17. Is the date and place for water polo asia finalized? Media says Kazakhstan gave up holding the game and the asian qualifier suspended.
  18. JEON Jihee from the Korean mix double you are behind of will most probably not participate Olympic Games, she failed in the Korean trials for WC this year so she is not on the list. Usually for east asian countries, if you can't participate the WC, then Olympic is even more unrealistic for you.
  19. Seems I mistaken the Asian Championships from the qualifiers. China media worries if the team will make the trip to India because of the coronavirus issue.
  20. China media said the qualifiers would replace to India, do you have any source to confirm?
  21. Good news for China. With so many qualifiers in coming months, the preparation for China would be very tough due to the travel bans. Good luck.
  22. I understand big country always draw more attention and those international reaction. It's quite normal, and most Chinese can appreciate the travel bans for Chinese and evacuation. Fear is a normally universal emotion. But I just personally think it goes too far. 17 years ago, when the SARS outbreak in China with heavier mortality and lower medical technology, people in China were calmer than now and no such travel bans around the world. I just think media magnify the terror emotion. When I browse Weibo( Chinese version twitter) about the virus outbreak, I feel the world is hopeless and I am gonna have a heart attack. about the daily reported new patients number, I mainly refer to my hometown province in China named Guangxi, I can give u the exact officially published number of daily new patients in Guangxi according Guangxi Daily, a provincial state-owned media: 1 21 2 person 1 22 3 1 23 8 1 24 10 1 25 10 1 26 13 1 27 5 1 28 7 1 29 20 1 30 9 1 31 13 The accumulated patients are still growing for sure, just daily new patients start to decrease (excluded Hubei). Almost the whole country is experiencing the self quarantine at home during lunar new year holiday thus all mega cities seem to be ghost towns right now. Based on this and my optimism, I think the severity will start to decrease in mid February, and will ends in March or April.
