  1. I'm so out of ideas for what song to send this year, it's not even funny I'm all out of bangers
  2. That's still a whole lot of countries missing and a few of those that have been regularly taking part in the contest
  3. 10 days left, we could kinda use the participation list, to keep tabs on who's in, who's nominated songs and all that good shit.
  4. At first sight, I thought people were getting so impatient, that they started posting songs before we were even given a green light to post our entries Regarding the other topic, I will never fucking understand why MUSIC that is targeted towards the consumption of PEOPLE tends to get blocked, making it UNAVAILABLE to so many potential listeners that could find your song. I've had this producer that didn't let me upload my song on Youtube, because Youtube pays little money to the songwriters. Well, it got buried in Spotify instead and guess what, it was taken down since it was not profitable to keep it up on Spotify either. I wonder how many artists are actually screwed by labels, producers and song-writers that get their songs banned outside of the country... I can say for myself that I would be extremely pissed if a guy in Guatemala couldn't listen to my music if he ever wanted to.
  5. He was banned from TISC events for the foreseeable future, due to his behaviour towards Israeli user and rage quitting the contest that he had to host. As the person that stepped in as the host and saved the contest that year, you should really remember this
  6. I'm okay with seeing a list of participating nations for starters. We don't want Rybak to be overworked before the competition starts.
  7. Oh my gawd, Czech Republic is back! I've tagged their users aggresively for years and they're finally making a comeback, yay Perhaps the secret for their comeback was to let @rybak tag them instead.
  8. Finally, we got a result update from Lithuania. In the men's mass start race, the winners were: 1. Karol Dombrovski 1+1+0+2 2. Tomas Kaukėnas 2+2+1+2 +35.0 3. Maksim Fomin 0+2+1+2 +2:07.0 4. Linas Banys 1+2+3+2 +3:24.0 Vytautas Strolia did not participate, interesting that Fomin confidently beat Banys, Mačkinė shot really badly and Romanov still very slow on skis. On the women's side, Kočergina didn't start so the results are not really too important. Gabrielė Leščinskaitė won with 0+0+1+3 and had 8 minutes over our junior Sara Urumova in second place, so yeah.... Lastly, the results from yesterday's sprint were: 1. Karol Dombrovski 0+1 2. Linas Banys 0+0 +43.0 3. Tomas Kaukėnas 0+3 +1:12.0 4. Maksim Fomin 2+0 +1:45.0 On the women's side, again Gabrielė was first, this time she had 5 minutes over Urumova. Kočergina and Strolia not starting in the sprint either. The performances in the youth categories are really tragic, we don't have a future for the next five years on the youth side.
  9. It's always crazy to me looking at these map charts and seeing that Russia looks bigger than the rest of the right side of the world on the map and is a gamechanger when it has to be coloured in for charts.
  10. I lost hope with Montenegro, after eagerly tagging them for years. I would be blown away by that comeback.
  11. There are still a lot of safe bets: @vinipereira @titicow for Brazil, @justony for Slovenia, @Glen for Malta, @LDOG and @konig for Argentina, @Janakis for Greece, @DaniSRB for Serbia, these peeps never miss a TISC And then there's a lot of members that have been around lately too: @KingOfTheRhinos @Vic Liu @catgamer @Dnl @Skijumpingmaster @Belle @Finnator123 that I'm expecting to see again. And I've still haven't mentioned everyone. @Quasit could definitely jump in for UK, perhaps a debut from the Philippines? @PHI2019 .
  12. Unrelated note, but China is actually pretty strict and they would be capable to make the World Cup work out, but if nothing changes in the near future, it will be completely impossible for the athletes themselves. Right now, there's an eSports World Championship being held in Shanghai, with European, North American, Korean, Southeast Asian, Russian, South American, Japanese, Australian and Turkish teams that have travelled there. All of them were individually locked up in a hotel room that they couldn't leave for 14 days and would only open their door to pick up their food delivery. In the further stages of the tournament it's also mentioned that a smaller, spread out audience will be able to attend the stadium live. I've been following the journey of the pros closely on Twitter, Instagram, Twitch and other media, so this is one of those rare times when I can say that China is really doing their best to make such a huge event happen. Since they are e-athletes, they could've practiced from the room and that's why I wouldn't put my money on a World Cup happening there, because it would screw up all of the athletes to be in lockdown for 14 days and I'm not too optimistic that their strict regime towards travelling is going to severy change in the following 3-4 months.
  13. Yes, I quickly reminded myself of it, but seeing as the previous two contests were all Ireland, I'll still claim that I was too close to the truth
  14. I like the part at 3:33:33. It makes me think about my existence and it makes me question my necessity in this world. Truly an amazing and awe inspiring work.
  15. You would give 12 points to the UK so you could exact your revenge and wrath upon them in the following contest, I like it.
  16. On a scale of 1 to 10, how disappointed you would be if the UK chose George Ezra "Budapest" as representative in the contest being held in Budapest?
  17. Not only that, but I'll also be able to award points to as many songs as I believe deserve them Regarding my previous experiences with open contests, it could perhaps be less than 12? But if we're talking about annual, I always am in need of a few extra points. So if I'm going to save my 2 and 1, I'll use them in 2021
  18. I'm just honestly happy and excited that we're not going to be restricted by any rules this year. Meaning that my 2017 dream can start early
  19. What are the chances that both Open contests that were held from September 1st were actually won by Ireland? It's too late in the night for proper research Edit: did the research nonetheless, the results were extremely funny
  20. To add to the hate towards capitals, if Lithuania ever hosts a TISC, I'd probably just select Kaunas again over Vilnius Before anyone asks why I'm bullying Vilnius, it's just that over the past couple of years, Kaunas has progressed its infrastructure, so there would be a lot of new impressive things to share. Also, Kaunas is going to be the European culture capital of 2022, though, due to Covid, we probably will not be able to rebuild everything in time for 2022, because we are literally tearing down everything and building a lot of new shit. Just in sports infrastructure, there's already a new rowing base, an indoor football complex with a removable roof, there's a new 50m 10 lane swimming pool being built right next to Žalgiris arena and a huge sports complex 15min away from my home that's going to include a multi-purpose stadium for Football and Athletics events, it's going to connect all the way towards the legendary Kauno Sporto Halė (old home of Žalgiris) and since it's a 2 minute walk away from the Lithuanian Sports University, I'd dare say that many many different sports will find a new home there. I did not expect to be passionately swept away and write so much, but I am really proud of what my hometown is becoming (plus, I'm hoping for some nice athletic events coming back to Kaunas in the following few years).
  21. Can I confirm the Lithuanian participation, or are we here too early?
