  1. So you got killed by lack of choice and I self-destructed myself with too many options? Fucking classic
  2. If we ever end up doing this again in five years, I need my identity secret.
  3. I thought that it didn't reek my taste since I usually don't go for those heavy instrumental songs and a lot of it was through electric guitar instrumentation. And basically there you're complaining about the song being under-produced (instruments peaking in the mix, whilst vocals are slightly pushed back.) Yeah it's a rough mix, which I thought that the grating guitars might irk some of the users, but those who like to headbang to music like that might have enjoyed it.
  4. Bold prediction: @Wumo is actually secretly in the final and Gigolo is @Sindo
  5. Don't call me out like that dude Honestly, I had a long talk with @OlympicIRL at the start of the contest where I expressed that picking Japan felt like a trap to me. Low and behold it was indeed a trap, should've went with my second choice
  6. I'm not that much into screamo music, but for some odd reason, I liked Hatari's Eurovision performance, which might have been boosted a lot by having a good hook, which I felt that this song lacked a bit. And yes, the video indeed looked very thirsty.
  7. Tbh, I thought I was figured out as Japan by at least someone with how much I usually blabber about other songs
  8. I'm as shocked for @heywoodu Belize @Vojthas just picked upside down Poland It's actually pretty funny how a lot of the forum users that I banter with most are in this first group As for my own pick, I was torn between 10 and more songs, I've even showcased some on Japan day. Am I disappointed about the results? A little. Am I disappointed that I picked that song? It's still a banger on my Japanese Spotify playlist and you won't convince me otherwise Thanks for the 5 or however many votes there were. As one man would have said, you might even call him a best man, you have music culture friends.
  9. I don't expect them to automatically win as much as I don't expect them to lose a direct duel against My Kiribati Lady, it's a double-edged sword
  10. I'd rather keep it out of my mind, thank you. Not really a huge fan of electronic pieces such as that, because that's less of a songwriting work and more of a production based work of music. Good for dancing and clubs if you're into that, bad for my soul
  11. I'm just chilling in my country where I don't have a possibility to send a mainstream song, so I don't need to overthink these things
  12. Perhaps we will need to implement rules where you can't exceed a certain amount of views on your videos, because it's not fun either way if people can't be objective when something mainstream is sent.
  13. Funny how Kosovo actually won everything after getting blocked from winning anything important.
  14. This is actually an idea that I thought about, so I'm glad that you saved me some typing time with your brain powers
  15. If that Ivoirian song would have reached the final, I might have considered to end myself Thank you Gibraltar for putting an end to that one The vocals were so tuned, it would be a shame to call Dua over-produced compared to that one...

As for the Baltic Team Championships, Lithuania was not able to defend the title this year and Estonia was the winner with 276 points, whilst Lithuania only lost it by 1 point with 275 and Latvia in third with 247
  17. Everybody raise your hands in the air for North Macedonia #RefuseToLose
  18. 19. Hey, if anybody missed some Baltic athletics, today it's the grown ups turn to duke it out between each other. The livestream is in less than 6 hours and tomorrow Day 2 of the competition will follow as well: Some notable athletes starting today: Discus Throw: Ieva Zarankaitė, Zinaida Sendriūtė, Sindija Bukša running 100m, Hans-Christian Hausenberg starting in pole vault as well as men's long jump, Liveta Jasiūnaitė, Lina Mūze and Madara Palameika in the Javelin Throw, Simas Bertašius in 1500m, Edis Matusevičius in Javelin Throw and Modesta Morauskaitė in 400m. Tomorrow you'll be able to watch: Andrius Gudžius and Martin Kupper in the Discus Throw, Modesta Morauskaitė in 400m Hurdles, Adrijus Glebauskas in High Jump, Sindija Bukša in 200m. A few notable names from all three countries are skipping this event due to starting in competitions abroad, some just chose to not participate on their own accord, still, this competition is always interesting even when I don't understand what the commentators are saying
  20. Nah, this special edition didn't feel that special for me and I probably would not want a repeat format of this, because it diminishes the amount of interaction between users when we have to hide which countries we've chosen and the voting is too odd and inconsistent, which means that good songs can easily not get past groups, quarters and so on so on. The only thing that's easier is that I don't need to spend 20+ hours in the span of two weeks to decide what I like and what I don't, but I honestly rather have that than watch how all of my favourite songs drop out of the competition without having a say in that voting phase.
  21. If we're expected to vote tomorrow, then I might be late to send in my votes by an hour or two. Or when should I start getting worried that I'm not getting any new matches to judge?
  22. Oh, seems that I haven't updated that Živilė Vaiciukevičiūtė at the young age of 23 has decided to retire, which might have been caused by a super strict training regime from her coach as the main reason. She was really the next big race-walking star, because in her very short career she already participated in Rio Olympics at the age of 19, won first place in a European Race Walking cup, was an U23 European bronze medalist and placed with 5th in the most recent European Championships. I'd dare say she was a top 5-7 athlete in our team and already had a qualification time for Tokyo as well. Her less successful twin is still continuing, she was always behind Živilė from the very start, still produced some nice times, but then her results started going backwards, whilst Živilė took a minute off her PB in every race that she started and she would hold the Lithuanian race-walking record if not for Brigita Virbalytė-Dimšienė, whom finished 4th in that same European Championships a couple of seconds ahead of her.
