  1. Yeah, with the whole secrecy it's pretty clear we are not going to pull in TISC level of participation.
  2. Forgot to update that: Andrius Gudžius opened his season with a 65.81 in the Discus Throw European Ch. bronze medalist from Javelin Throw - Liveta Jasiūnaitė opened with a 58.01 Lastly, another decent result was from Ieva Zarankaitė in the Discus Throw with a 58.66
  3. I'd say it's a solid 0 since he was banned from future TISC events due to his behaviour?
  4. We've kicked off the athletics season with quite a few competitions, though mostly for children, U18 and U20 categories, with some bigger events starting in two weeks. I spend a fair amount of time analysing the state of our athletics and from what I've gathered so far, quarantine is taking a toll on the results. Of course, everyone is extra rusty, so the real situation is only going to be clear after athletes get to start a bit more and a lot of competent athletes have yet to start in any of the competitions. On the other hand, both sons of Virgilijus Alekna seem to be throwing the discus fairly far and have already secured their U23 and U20 unofficial qualification marks.
  5. I actually like this. Makes the matches feel a bit more significant.
  6. Oh damn, that's probably the closest to George Ezra that I'll ever be in my lifetime
  7. Don't really know what could have hinted that it's a love song. This is pretty much a song about my inner demons and my motivation issues due to the lack of belief in my own abilities and a lack of confidence. And yes, I wrote it myself. Yeah, it is available on Apple Music, this should be the link: https://music.apple.com/us/album/a-dialogue-with-my-mind-single/1511357974?uo=4&app=music&at=1001lry3&ct=dashboard
  8. Hey peeps, I've released a brand new song earlier today and if you want to support my craft, feel free to have a listen. If you follow this Spotify link, you'll add a whopping amount of 0.00437 of a cent into my music making budget: https://open.spotify.com/track/6TclMLR4c8WrxYV0FtHjXQ?si=PMHYmX_fRlG3NoCf4F8SNQ And if you'd rather watch a video:
  9. Well, our athletics have started forming a calendar, so the Lithuanian Championships as well as U20, U18 and Baltic Championships + Baltic U20/U18 are all scheduled to take place in July and August.
  10. Seeing as different judges are going to be appointed to judge different matches, it is definitely not certain that that 8-0 means that the other 30+ members share the same sentiment. Another thing, this is Totallympics, I'm not expecting an 8-0 on any single match even if someone sends a 60 second clip of an Austrian mountain goat yodelling. If people are going to change their votes in favour of an underdog story rather than what they believe to be a better song, then that is mostly a problem of the person and not the system. Lastly, to make it a bit easier on the host and participants, the users could provide a ranking for the group stage, ranking 1-8 the entrants of group A, B, C and D. I think that four separate smaller rankings would be a lot easier and more reasonable than comitting to a 1-32 ranking It also wouldn't give away everything to the host as well until the quarterfinal round starts.
  11. Well, it does help that Euphoria smashed and stole the show back in 2012, that is why so many people are fond of it. The only other countries that I remember from that year were Albania, Denmark and The Netherlands for good reasons And Ireland, Russia, San-Marino for not the best of reasons.
  12. Yeah, the appeal of Eurovision is mostly different cultural backgrounds, the fact that anybody can randomly enter a song in their national language or even pop songs sometimes have a traditional spin on them. With the US, you can argue that the states are very different, but all in all, it is still the same country, with a unified national language and somewhat unified history. So what would separate it from American Idol at the end of the day would probably be the voting system and the fact that everyone would have to submit an original song.
  13. You can definitely say that about MOBAs too Oh, forgot the whole 1v1 fighting scene such as Mortal Combat or Smash, those are toxic AF.
  14. I guess that's why the Vietcong 2 multiplayer was the best experience for me, since there was not a lot of jumping like a monkey on crack, because ducking or just quickly lying on the floor was usually a more beneficial tactic to get rid of your opponent.
  15. But when you memorise their hyperactive jumping tendencies, they line up for your sniper
  16. I think the music is doing it's job well, because it doesn't detract from the action on screen, rather enhancing the watching experience, so the music is definitely fulfilling its role. It's interesting that you've asked me about music and my mind went to the collectible CDs rather than the atmospheric music. You actually made me think that I was not thinking about music that much when I was watching the playthrough There is definitely a lot of detail put into the score, Wall Market music can get stuck in your head I guess perhaps since it's my first FF experience, I'm taking in the storyline, voice acting and visuals a bit more than the soundtrack. As for some good soundtracks, Diablo II and Lineage II are up there for me with the best.
  17. Somehow I didn't really get into the FPS genre. I played the hell out of Vietcong 2 and other games from that genre just didn't do it for me. Call Of Duty was pretty fun, funnily enough, I mostly played the game, because I was expected to swap with my dad while he was on his smoke breaks and since he smoked a lot, I got pretty good at it Even though I don't feel a lot of love for COD it was definitely a much more pleasant experience than CS ever was.
  18. The secret is to start with Civilization V. Though if you value your sleep schedule and having control over your life, I'd highly suggest not getting addicted to the infamous 'one more turn' curse
  19. The Life Is Strange playthroughs with Dodger are really amazing as well, he really is the perfect person to follow for story based games and FF is definitely loaded on story. Yeah, I'm watching the game as a film did not expect to run out of episodes so fast, now I'm just waiting for the semi-daily uploads. Definitely when this whole music thing takes off and I'm a financially stable human being, PS4 and FF7 are going to be on my buy list
  20. Well, I'll speak in code. Let's just say that I'm at that part where something fell I'm watching the playthrough from Jesse Cox, he's a really great youtuber and I have experienced quite a few games through him. He has the Scary Game Squad where he tackles horror games with his group of friends and went through the RE remakes, various detective games with Dodger and a lot of open world RPGs. Really an all around great guy with a great sense of humour and he's actually enjoying all of the cutscenes instead of blabbering over them aaaaaand he's a loot whore just like me. Anyway, one shameless plug later, no, I haven't played the original, nor did I see a playthrough of it, so I'm going in blind and this is my first FF experience. I grew up without a console, so yeah, pc gaming all the way for me.
  21. The FF7 Remake made me very sad that I don't own a PS4, that game is like a movie, watching a playthrough currently and salivating at the graphics.
  22. Anyways, as we're waiting for our next TISC competitions I thought that I'd throw in some TISC related content via my points report card. During my 14 participations in TISC, I had a 1092 points to shell out to many different countries, even though I was in a combined jury for 2014 A, I went through with using my own votes. Throughout these 14 contests, I've awarded points to 43 countries, Ukraine, Colombia, India, Vietnam and Romania didn't fit in the screenshot. Unfortunately, there are countries that have yet to get any points from me and those would be: Bulgaria: This one I'm surprised with, because I thought I definitely had given them points in the past, but found out that they were only on my reserve list a couple of times. China: Similarly to Bulgaria, their songs entered my top 20 numerous times, but didn't reach the points. Egypt Greece Hungary and Iran: Was really close to getting points from me on two different occasions. Hungary was 13th in 2020, for example. Israel: only participated once, so there's still time Lebanon Moldova Montenegro Russia Tunisia Uruguay Venezuela Somewhat didn't expect United States to take first place, but it seems that if I like their song, I like it that much, that they never score below 5th place and have scored the most medals. There are also other countries that never placed lower than 5th place when they got points and those are: Azerbaijan and Croatia, whilst Brazil has a good record of not going below 6th. Other countries with numerous medals include: Great Britain, Ireland, Netherlands, whilst Brazil is the only country to double up on my 12 points. Countries on the longest point streak: Great Britain (7 contests, 2014-2017), Brazil (6 contests, 2016-2019), New Zealand (6 contests, 2015-2017). The longest streak that is still alive is Denmark with 4 contests in a row, twice in 12th place Countries on the longest point break: Kazakhstan and Guyana since the first contest, Romania since the second contest, Spain, Slovakia and Serbia since the 5th contest Perfect attendance awards: Norway with 4/5 contests in points Great Britain with 11/13 contests in points Australia with 4/5 contests in points Estonia with 3/3 contests in points Countries on the rise: Slovenia (19 points in last 4 contests) Malta (21 points in last 4 contests) United States (29 points in last 4 contests) Brazil (28 points in last 4 contests) Netherlands (23 points in last 4 contests) Ireland (21 points in last 4 contests) First non-European winner? Not on my watch! 1st and 2nd spot in my all time points are not from European countries. 4 countries to get the coveted 1 point twice: Denmark, Portugal, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
  23. Well, it would be rather important to decide what we're actually doing (if we're doing anything) and who's going to be the person/people to work on the show.
  24. I think the fact that nobody touched this at all for over 9 days is a pretty good indication that we don't need to rush into another contest. It was just the annual post-contest hype.
