  1. That's 21 people off of @OlympicIRL's hit list. The other nine sending the votes an hour before the deadline might not be that lucky.
  2. I wonder who was in charge in figuring out how to break the ties
  3. member when Serbia, Canada and Poland were multi-juries? I member
  4. honestly, it just felt like every other single disco song with words like boogie, rhythm and groove
  5. Damn, minus the guy and some change of the lyrics and this could be a very legit performance.
  6. The real question behind the South Korean performance is why were the poor backing vocalists dressed in black forced to stay on stage and merrily dance along to the track of the dude that brought his own backing vocalists? I feel like this is a total hostage situation
  7. #BringBackAllOfTheLithuanianWomenThatQuitInTheLastFourYearsSoThatWeHaveAWomen'sTeamAgainSoWeCouldRunCompetitiveMixedRelaysWhichWouldHelpTheActualGoodTeamToQualifyFourMenIntoTheOlympics
  8. I think we're overestimating the amount of time we're going to be judging the songs. The real struggle is when you have to compare them with other 20 songs that you have on your shortlist. In this situation, the 1v1 scenario gives a lot more lenience to the judges. For example, if I want to kill myself before even getting to the chorus, it's highly likely I'll need only 30 seconds to decide the winner of that specific match. Yeah, it is likely that you get to judge two songs that you like and struggle a bit, but the percentage of mismatches is going to be huge and it might even continue to be huge depending on who makes it out of groups and how the judges are going to be allocated in further stages. Songs that you really like might even get knocked out without you ever deciding anything (in a scenario where the song is in the same group as your representative or you not being allocated to judge it in quarters/semis etc)
  9. Did they discover our biathlon thread? If so, we want more individual races @ibu
  10. Surprised with some names that decided to skip this event. We're used to seeing hckosice, Bohemia, Benolimpique every time. Surprised that a lot of people from multi-juries decided to give this a pass (Italy, Brazil, France, Tunisia)
  11. Well, United States rules the music world, followed by the UK and I guess Australia. Countries like France, italy and Germany are in their own bubble, but that's mostly since they push music in their own language rather than English and that's the reason why they don't hit the global charts. Spanish music is really breaking into the charts along with South Korean music, but after that I would definitely go towards Scandinavia (primarily Sweden and Iceland, followed by Norway and Denmark), if I were to pick who's setting the pop trends across Europe. If you ever have free time, there's definitely a lot of Icelandic music that's worth a listen.
  12. They struck big with this one: But after that plummeted down in the music scene.
  13. I'm glad Iceland didn't choose Of Monsters and Men, because I would be biased as fuck. I bought a ticket to their concert before they even went up for sale with a purchase code that you had to contact the organisers to get Sadly, it got postponed from July 15th to 2021 July, so my watch starts anew.
  14. Hey, Iceland had a few more obvious choices than Hatari, if we're being honest.
  15. Yeah, I'm gonna throw out some world class Lithuanian artists that would put boys like Shawn to shame. Oh wait, we don't have artists popular outside of Lithuania
  16. Will we do user reveals like The Masked Singer every time a country drops out of the competition?
