  1. Yeah, this is going to get crazy with the amount of live streams they will have at the same time, and with also a record number of users using ESP, I hope they will be able to handle it.
  2. One thing I am curious about is if ESP will have more than one live feed for athletics. I think we never had separate live streams for various athletics events that were happening at the same time in the stadium, but I know that the broadcasters had these separate feeds because the Hungarian TV was able to show hammer throw for example when the main athletics feed was showing something else.
  3. I think literally everything will be on ESP that has a live feed, that was already the case in 2018. Like, you can already see that fencing, table tennis, tennis, badminton all have many live feeds listed at the same time, I think every piste and every court will be there.

  5. I mean... the gold is also a medal. She can win it, but given the circumstances I am don't want to say that the gold is the expected result from her. She has just as much of a chance to take the gold as any of the other favorites in 400 IM, but she isn't the clear frontrunner anymore.
  6. Not great, the COVID break was awful for her. All I am expecting from her is a medal in 400 IM, anything else would be a bonus.
  7. ITF will now have to reallocate the world ranking quota of Tímea Babos in women's doubles, not sure which nation will benefit from this.
  8. Babos Tímea sérülés miatt nem indul Tokióban, ezzel két kvótát veszítettünk teniszben. 9. -2 tennis Tímea Babos withdrew due to injury and with that Hungary loses two athlete quotas in women's doubles.
  10. And that might as well be 16 entries because I think Hosszú will withdraw in 200 fly. Her choice to take this quota is controversial in Hungary because she took the opportunity from Zsuzsanna Jakabos and people know that Hosszú will most likely not compete in 200 fly as it's way too close to 200 IM. The only reason Hosszú took this quota from Jakabos is because she wanted a backup event in case 200 IM will be a disaster for her (I think there's a chance that Hosszú won't even be able to qualify for the 200 IM final and she knows it).
  11. Artistic Swimming, team Artistic Swimming, duet Table Tennis, men's team Table Tennis, women's team Water polo, women's team
  12. Kristóf Milák, swimming, men's 200 fly - duh, this should be an easy gold, only COVID can stop him canoe sprint, women's K4 500m - we have been dominating this event for a decade now, hopefully it will be another gold, the medal is very much secure canoe sprint, women's K2 500m - I am not as confident as in K4, but we have two strong boats, it would be a disaster if none of them finish in the Top3
  13. Well, that probably means they also invited Attila Balázs. There isn't any news from Hungarian sources, so I think there's a good chance that he also rejected the quota.
  14. Yep, here we are with France, Morocco and... Switzerland?
  15. This Friday might be one of the most important days for because many of our athletes, including our 3 teams, will travel to Tokyo on that day, and apparently the flight is one of the most crucial points of this Games... if someone coughs on that flight, we are fucked.
  16. There's also a COVID cluster at the hotel where many Brazilian athletes are staying: https://www.ctvnews.ca/sports/covid-19-cluster-at-olympic-hotel-as-tokyo-cases-surge-1.5508384
  17. women's rugby team is in quarantine because one of their staff members had a positive test Part of the men's rugby team is in quarantine because someone had a positive test on their inbound flight
  18. I imagine that if it was a regular Olympic team this would be a big controversy. One positive case among the staff of a more important team, like the US gymnastic team for example, and the entire Olympic competition can turn into a farce.
  19. Jesus, that font size is so small that I didn't see it.
  20. It's still missing some very basic features... There isn't any option to change the times to your time zone. You can't order all the events descending based on their start time. You can't pick "favorite events". If this is how the site will function during the Olympics, I am not impressed at all. I guess I really need to make my own spreadsheet for events I don't want to miss because this schedule doesn't help me at all with its events grouped by sports and zero interactive options.
  21. The Ipsos poll seems about right for Hungary, I would say that the interest in the Summer Games have never been this low here, mostly because of COVID and also because all the attention went to EURO2020. Even EURO2020 produced some disappointing ratings here compared to EURO2016, so Tokyo2020 will most likely have record low ratings for an Olympic Games. And yeah, maybe we can move on from hating on the Japanese for not wanting the Games as this shows that the majority of people in many countries don't support the Games, and those numbers would be lower if they would host it. The fact is that the online anti-Olympics sentiment seems to be actually representing the majority this time. IOC clearly failed at saving Tokyo2020, it's a PR disaster so far.
  22. It's clear that IOC and the Japanese didn't think about just how bad things can get with the current COVID protocols. Or they don't care anymore. We are on the brink of potentially witnessing the worst Olympic Games ever, this isn't in the hands of IOC or anyone at this point, it's up to pure luck how it will all turn out.
  23. Tímea Babos had to w/o after an injury today at the Hungarian GP. There isn't any official news on how serious the injury is, but it looked bad, I wouldn't be surprised if we lose two athlete quotas in women's doubles.
  24. Huh, it looks like I was wrong, we will have two Hungarian channels broadcasting. And surprisingly the second one besides M4 Sport will be their #1 TV channel, DunaTV.
  25. Two more wins for us against but we aren't playing that well. v 34-31 v 24-23
